A GREY, OVERCAST & WET SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE ' SEMANA SANTA' WEEK;

MONDAY 21 st / MARCH 2016.

We had another nice long lie in this morning as ‘ Reina’ was not due back with us until lunchtime, she’s just with us for 4 days this week, tomorrow ‘ Scruffy’ is arriving for the day, meanwhile ‘ Chispa’ is in and out as normal. Overnight the rain arrived and this morning its grey & cloudy and raining from time to time, the forecast is for more heavy rain later and over the next two days, its then going to pick up and get back to normal for the end of the ‘ Semana Santa’ week – sun & warm with clear blue skies!  See the picture below of the square in ' Castillo de la Duquesa' yesterday evening;

After our regular breakfast we freshened our selves up, Brenda bathed her feet and I sorted out this evenings supper, we are having ‘ Grilled Cumberland Sausages’ ( Iceland’s finest!) with an Onion Gravy, whole Baby Green Beans and the rest of last nights ‘Mashed’ Potatoes; tomorrow night its ‘Grilled Gammon Steak’ with Pineapple, then on Wednesday its going to be ‘ Beef Curry’ with Basmati Rice.

Over the weekend on the sports front Lewis Hamilton messed up his start, again, over in Melbourne at the ‘Australian Grand Prix’ and was second behind his team mate Rosberg, Liverpool gave away a two goal lead and lost 3-2 at Southampton and Utd beat City 0-1 when the new young star 18 year old Rashford scored! Over here Barcelona also gave away a two goal lead but managed to hang on for a 2-2 draw, Real Madrid won 4-0!

Last night after supper we settled down to watch the next to last episode of “ The Night Manager “ on BBC 1 – it was very exciting & gripping as the menacing ‘ Baddie’ played by the wonderful Hugh Laurie tied to work out who is the ‘spy’?! There was lots of twists at the end so next weeks final episode will be rather compelling, to say the least, the  pregnant spy master’s ( Oliva Colman ) husband was attacked in her home,  both the American & English governments are involved and up to dirty tricks, the ‘ Baddie’ played a master stroke to out-wit the various departments chasing him and Tim Hiddleston as ‘ The Night Manager’ continues to create mayhem and killing as he cover his tracks and tries to save the wife of Hugh Laurie, played by the very watchable Elizabeth Debicki, at the same time!! Watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
