A CRISP & WARM SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 5th/ MARCH 2016.

We all had a nice lie in this morning, even ‘ Charlie’ who came up and had an hour on the bed with me, he sleeps all night on the two other settees in the lounge, I then took him for his morning walk and when we got back we all had our breakfasts, he has his executive dog food and vitamin biscuits with his tablet and we had toast, fresh fruit, fresh local Orange juice and tea along with our tablets!He’s being collected this evening and we will miss him as he’s such a character and good company.

The sun was out early and the sky was blue, there is no breeze, so we are in for another nice day here in sunny Manilva, sadly the wet & windy stuff is still due to hit us tomorrow and we will then find out what the new week has in stall for us, watch this space.

I then got this evenings supper on the go, my version of “ Lancashire Hot Pot “ I ‘ brown off’ the Lamb Chops first, then I layer the pot with sliced Onions & Potatoes with diced Carrots, Leeks, Mushrooms & Celery, all well seasoned, then I add a strong Meat & Vegetable stock ready to go in the oven this evening, lid on first then off later to ‘crisp up’ the top layer of Potatoes! We are having Cabbage, pickled Red Beetroot & Garden Peas on the side. See below.

Yesterday afternoon the Horse Racing on Channel 4 was very exciting, from Doncaster & Newbury, as they build up to the ‘Cheltenham Festival’ in two weeks time, in the football Manchester City won 4-0 but sadly Everton lost at home to West Ham, in the last minute, 2-3 – Brian will not be a ‘happy bunny’ when he collects ‘ Charlie’ later! Over here Real Madrid won 7-1 with Ronaldo scoring 4 – they had to build new doors to get him out of the stadium!!

After supper we found a film to watch “ The Bourne Legacy “ from 2012 this time, this is the fourth instalment in the series but with no Matt Damon as he chose not to return, so its Jeremy Renner as a ‘ Black ops’ agent called Aaron Cross with Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Albert Finney, Joan Allen, Stacy Keach, Scott Glen, David Stratham in an all action spy thriller that ends up in Manila with a very exciting motor bike chase, for a change!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
