A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 19th MAY 2015.

I was up first this morning to welcome little princess ‘Reina’ back for the day, she shot upstairs and onto her duvet and I left the other ‘Princess’ in my life in bed for a little lie in! The workmen are back into the routine of arriving at 8-00am and are now erecting/constructing the outside pillars/walls for the ground floor in a maze of steel rods and shuttering.

After our usual breakfast I shot around to our butchers to pick up the ‘Escalope of Pork Loin’ for tonight’s supper, we are having ‘Pork Schnitzels’ with ‘Spaghetti Milanese’ using my Tomato Salsa as the base of the sauce, See below

.

I also bought the Stewing Beef for tomorrow’s ‘Beef Bourguignon’ at the same time he had just made some ‘Albondigas - Meatballs’ for another day!

Today there s a little breeze which makes it rather pleasant to say the least, its warm and sunny with a clear Blue sky and the temperature are hovering at around 24degs, normal for May, tomorrow a little of the ‘wet’ stuff is forecast in the morning, it’s slipped under the radar, its still 20degs so the wet stuff will be warm! Then we are back to normal and getting warmer into the weekend.

See below a picture taken yesterday of the 'Playa Del Christo' in Estepona,you can see on the left in the far distance Gibraltar and on the top right the 'V' in the hills is just behind sunny Manilva where the road to Casares and into the mountains goes up! Click on to enlarge !!

‘Scruffy’ is back with us on Saturday afternoons so he will be playing with his mate ‘Charlie ’At the moment ‘Chispa’ is her playing with her friend ‘Reina’ so we will go for a walk a little later around the village.

Yesterday evening as we were chatting with Mano & Anna there was a knock on our front door, it was a new Gas Boiler being delivered, we were expecting just a new water tank so this a rather nice surprise, the back kitchen will look very smart as soon as the Gas Boiler, Gas Hob & Extractor are installed. Watch this space.

On the Blog yesterday I put some pictures on of the ‘Great Orme Tramway’ in Llandudno ( See below ) which brought back the memories of our time at the ‘Kings Head Pub’ after we left the ‘Lancashire Manor Hotel’ in Upholland; its just behind the Tramway Station in the first picture so the trams go across the car park and along the side of the building on there way up to the top of the ‘Great Orme’ The system is a under ground wire/pulley that is the same as used in the famous trams in San Francisco! Now not a lot of people know that – they do now!

We are having another one of our taking it easy at home days, today doing nothing in particular, because we can! Yesterday Anna brought a large bag of books with her, so we have a good selection to keep us quiet for the moment!

We are up on the roof terrace at the moment taking in the late afternoon sunshine along with our 'Happy Hour' cocktails.

After supper this evening we will watch the news, sport & weather details, in particular, to see if the wet stuff is going to hit us?! It will then be time to find something to watch.

PS; NEWSFLASH.

The 'Queen of Skelton' is arriving on the 22nd June followed by her 'Consort' on the 28th June !! The weather 'Up North' is cold,wet and breezy with hail, so they are coming down to their 'Summer Residence' here in sunny Manilva to be with their very loyal subjects!!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
