A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 12th/ MAY 2015.

I was up first thing this morning to welcome back little princess ‘Reina’ – she’s here for the day and then back on Thursday; it’s a quiet week in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ as ‘Scruffy’ is on his holidays, next week it’s the exact opposite as we will have by the weekend ‘Charlie’ with us for his holiday ‘Reina’ is also coming to stay for four days the flowing week and ‘Scruffy’ will also be back with us – this means that with ‘Chispa’ here everyday, as normal, we could be ‘Four-Handed’!

The sun is just braking through and by lunchtime it’s going to be another glorious day here in sunny Manilva; the whole of Spain is having the unusual hot spell, for May, in fact in the Northern parts it’s over 20degs warmer than normal! Today its still 35/37 degs inland while down on the coast we are hovering at around 30/31degs.

Tomorrow is going to be the hottest day on record, for May, in some inland parts when it will reach over 40/42degs! It’s coming up from across the Mediterranean from the whole of Africa, then on Thursday & Friday there is a cold spell, unusually, coming down from the Scandinavian countries including Finland which will bring the temperatures back down to normal for this time of the year – so will still be hot!!

After our usual breakfast Brenda shot up to the drying room and caught up with her ironing out on the roof terrace while I had a nice leisurely shave and shower and did my regular ‘Pilates’ exercises, stetching my arms, legs, hips, shouders etc, We have just had the regular phone call from the Junta de Andalusia ‘Heart Monitoring’ emergency service, that we are connected to, they do regular test calls to make sure the equipment is working and connected and also call on a 3 monthly basis to see how you are!

This evening for supper we are having pan-seared ‘Calves Liver’ (Pink) with crispy Smoked Bacon & well cooked English ‘Pork Sausages’ (Richmond – Iceland) along with diamond cut Green Beans and not forgetting the dry sautéed thick-cut slices of Baked Potato!!   See below;

Its one of our taking it easy at home days just pottering about, at the moment ‘Chispa’ is playing around my feet so we will take both the dogs for a short walk a little later. This after noon we will be back up on the roof terrace reading and then having our ‘Happy Hour’ cocktails, the old radio is acting up so we will have to invest in a new one for upstairs as we like to have music on all the levels, all the time!

This evening after supper we will watch the semi-final, second leg match of the ‘Champions League’ as Barcelona travel to Germany to play Bayern Munich with a 3 goal lead from the first leg!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
