A OVERCAST BUT STILL VERY WARM SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 4th/ MAY 2015.

This morning it was the smell, of paint and the sounds of the Council painters back to finish our street with the dark Grey paint down the middle of ‘Calle San Vicente’ - see the picture below. (But no workmen on the development)

At the moment, as forecast, its a little overcast but the sun will break through later and the sky will be Blue, the week ahead is looking fine and dry with lots of sunshine.

No plans, so far, this week so we will take each day as it comes, later I’m making a fresh batch of my famous and requested ‘Ensaldilla Rusa’ This evening we are having a ‘Sausage Casserole’ made with ‘Richmond Pork Sausages’ from Iceland’ to go with the rest of the ‘Boulangere’ potatoes along with a ‘Macedoine’ of Vegetables from last nights supper.

On Tuesday its going to be grilled, flattened Chicken Breast and on Wednesday something from the butchers after we call in today, Thursday is find something in the fridge day and then on Friday we are waiting to hear about an invite to a presentation by the ‘Manilva Compromiso’ party. We are shopping as normal on Friday morning.

The menu's have been updated after our visit to the butchers this morning, tonight its now a 'Calves Liver & Sausage Casserole' Then tomorrow evening we are now having 'Brochettes of Marinated Pork' and the Chicken has been moved forward to Wednesday! Are you following?!

In ‘Doggy World Heaven’ this week ‘Reina’ is back as normal on Tuesday & Thursday and ‘Scruffy’ is with us for a sleep over on Tuesday but not on Thursday as arranged as Rose’s shifts have changed!

This morning on Facebook on the ‘Colwyn Bay Past & Present in Pictures’ nostalgia page a picture appeared of the ‘ Hotel Seventy Degrees’ taken just after we took it over back in 1975! How can I tell? Well there are no flagpoles, no fountain, the old signs, no markings on the car park and it had not been painted, also our old Volvo is outside the front door! Very many ‘Happy’ memories of the good old days back in the late 70s & early 80s of our loyal customers and staff. See the picture below.

Later we will go for a walk with ‘Chispa’ as we need to go to the chemists up in Calle Mar for our prescriptions and then carry on down to the butchers.

This evening after supper we will catch up with all the news, sport and weather details before settling down to find something to watch.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
