A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY AT THE END OF ANOTHER 'HELLUVA' WEEK;

SUNDAY 19th APRIL 2015.

Just a little roll over this morning as the sun was crashing through the shutters from early, for our breakfast we had ‘Campo’ Fried Eggs & Smoked Bacon with lots of toast and a mug of steaming tea, to set us up for the day ahead.

The sky is blue, the sun is out and there is no breeze, by lunchtime it will be reaching 27/28degs, the forecast for the start of the week is for more of the same, we are going out at lunchtime for a drive down the coast towards Gibraltar and will then call into Sotogrande for a light ‘Tapas’ lunch at the ‘KE’ Bar in the marina.

We carried on to 'La Linea' next to Gibraltar and then back along the coast road to Sotogrande; the 'KE' Bar was very busy with the normal international 'jet set' so we joined them! We had a 'Sushi' platter( Expensive)  to start, Brenda had Prawns in Cheese sauce and I had the Chicken in a creamed Peppercorn sauce to follow with a nice selection of the 'House' Bread. See the pictures above and below of Brenda

Yesterday in the football Everton won 1-0, Real Madrid won 3-1, Barcelona won 2-0. Over in Bahrain Lewis Hamilton is on pole for today’s race.

For our supper later this evening we are having “Lamb Shanks in Minted Gray” with ‘Sugar-Snap Peas’ & ‘Rissole’ Potatoes – small baby new potatoes cooked in their skins and the tossed in foaming Butter with lots of chopped Parsley!

Last night after supper we settled down and watched the fourth film, made 19 years later of “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” directed by Steven Spielberg and starring, of course, Harrison Ford in the title role with Cate Blancett,unrecornizable in the ‘Baddies’ role, Karen Allen in the original ‘love interest’ role, Ray Winstone being ‘Ray Winstone’ John Hurt overacting as usual and Shia LaBeuf as Indy’s son?! Lots of good old ‘Stunt’ action to keep you attention – one for the ‘Mass’es’ !!

After supper this evening we will catch up with all the sports action as Liverpool play Aston Villa in the ‘FA Cup’ Semi Final at Wembley, this afternoon, Arsenal beat reading 2-1 yesterday after the Reading goalkeeper made a mistake. We will also watch the highlights of the ‘Grand Prix & Motor GP’ before settling down to watch another all action movie!

Hamilton won !  Liverpool lost 2-1 to Aston Villa and played terribly!! The 'Argentina' Motor GP is on a mid night.

PS; The 'New Moon Pub Company' have just announced that their 8th site will also be in Liverpool later this year after the 'Old Bind School' opens; 'Beef & Pudding 2' is in the commercial district in Brunswick Street!! Watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
