A DRY & OVERCAST SUNNY MANILVA ON FRIDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEKEND;

FRIDAY 10th/APRIL 2015.               “ GRAND NATIONAL WEEK ”

We were up and out this morning after a quick breakfast, we shot down to the local market by the sports complex and bought some fresh flowers and plants for the outside wall pots; this morning its dry but overcast with no wind then tomorrow the rain is back and then on Sunday and into next week its picking up, the sun is back and its getting a lot warmer!

                                                             Just around the corner !

I called into the bank and we then stopped at the ‘Ferrateria’s’ for some light bulbs and Super Glue; next we called into the local retail Fruit &Vegetable market before picking up the English newspapers, our main shop was in ‘Mercadona’and later ‘Super Sol’ for some English essentials; on returning we unpacked just as  ‘Chispa’ came running up the street and tried to get into the car.

‘Scruffy’ is due at lunchtime for the day, he’s being picked up later this evening, next week he’s back with us for a two day sleep over on Friday & Saturday ‘Reina’ is here as usual on Tuesday & Thursday ‘Scruffy’ has  just arrived and he’s been trimmed and styled and looks rather smart – picture later if he will keep still!

Just before lunch Jack & Lyn finally made contact on their 'Skype' video that has not been working;we had a good old catch up with all their news,they are going away in their caravan again next week along the spectacular coast of 'Victoria' down from Melbourne.They are both very well and are looking fine in their 'Old Age'!

So this evening Den & Josie are joining us for their last supper as tomorrow morning they are traveling across to Malaga by bus and the new Metro, they have booked an hotel for the night and then fly back to England sometime on Sunday.

This evening I’m making a ‘Seafood Risotto’ for our main course, Brenda is making an ‘Exotic Fresh Fruit Salad’(12 different fruits) - seeped in Peach Juice & Cointreau,to start we having some light Tapas.

This afternoon I will be watching the second day at the ‘Grand National’  meeting which is ‘Ladies Day’ I had an excellent ‘IT’ connection via the ‘Film On’ channel and watched it on the large PC – The ‘Channel 4’ coverage was excellent and the racing was very exciting, more to come today. This time next year I will be able to follow it on our large screen TV downstairs!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
