A CRISP AND VERY SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 24th/ JANUARY 2015

.

Just a little lie in this morning as we needed a gas bottle form the delivery man, we then had ‘Campo’ Poached Eggs on Toast with a mug of steaming tea to start the day! I then took ‘Scruffy’ for his second walk of the day as Brenda took him out first as she was seeing to the delivery man!

It’s the most beautiful day here in sunny Manilva, the sky is blue and the sun is out already, there is no breeze and by lunchtime it will be 16/17degs. Over the next few days we are in for more of the same and even getting a little warmer.

Overnight it was not as cold but its still rather chilly to say the least ‘Scruffy’ started on the foot of the bed then retired to his house for the rest of the night, this morning he was back on the bed and told us when he was ready to go out! He’s a delight to have with us,he’a real character and everybody that sees him loves him, yesterday Mano & Anna called in for a chat and gossip, we had both ‘Scruffy’ and ‘Reina’ here so they made a big fuss of them.

At the moment Brenda is washing her long main of hair, she due for a visit to the hairdresser down in Sabinillas in the next couple of weeks, so she tells me! This means that I will then go and get my long grey locks trimmed also, over at my barbers in Estepona!!

Today we have an easy day in the kitchen as tonight we are having ‘Entrecote Steak’ cooked on the hot griddle plate ‘Med-Rare’ with sautéed Baby Mushrooms and finely sliced Green Beans, as a treat we are having some twice-cooked ‘Frits! We are also getting on the go tomorrows ‘surprise’ dessert.

We went for a walk at lunchtime with 'Chispa' & 'Scruffy' and sat in the warm sunshine taking in the views across the mountains and the Med. See the pictures below of the front in Sabinillas with the local fishermen dragging their boat back up the beach!

The football this weekend over in England is the ‘FA Cup’ matches as Manchester City welcome Middlesbrough and Liverpool welcome Bolton; over here in ‘La Liga’ Real Madrid travel through the snow to play Cordoba and Elche welcome Barcelona.

We will then watch all the football high lights from around Europe on the ‘Cuatro’ channel before catching the news and weather updates on TVE1 and then finding a film to watch.

PS; The ‘Euro’ continued to rise yesterday to new hights, fingers crossed for Monday’s first transfer!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
