A CRISP AND SUNNY MANILVA AND SAN PEDRO ON FRIDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEKEND;

FRIDAY 9th/JANUARY 2015.

Up early again this morning and after a quick breakfast we shot down to Sabinillas for the shopping, first call was the bank for some cash and then into the ‘Ferreteria’s’ for some light bulbs; we then stopped at the English bookshop for the papers and a free yearly wall chart, then it was time for our main shop in ‘Mercadona’ before shooting back up the hill through the vine fields to our house to unload.

Today it’s crisp and the sun is just breaking through, over the weekend its fine and next week is starting to look ‘OK’ as well, at noon we are taking Andy & Maria across to the bus station over in Marbella, in Andy’s car as they are flying over to England for a week to see his mum up in Derby,

On the way back we called into see the new 6 million " Boulevard San Pedro " Its rather special to say the least and has brought San Pedro to life as you can see in the pictures above.

We then spotted the 'Calderon Cafe - Bar' and sat and had another 'Al Fresco' Tapas lunch, this time, in the warm sunshine, taking in the new 'Seascape' bridge and the water features and gardens; the 'Tapas' were fantastic as you can see in the pictures below My favourite 'Tortilla Camarones - Crisp Shrimp Omelet' 'Patas Bravas' 'Pollo Curry with rice' and 'Pollo Garlic with Frits'! - all 1/2 euros each!

!

Back here in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ we are back to normal next week with ‘Reina’ with us on Tuesday & Thursday and ‘Scruffy’ is arriving on Wednesday for a sleep over, meanwhile ‘Chispa’is in and out everyday as usual; ‘Charlie’ the African Grey Parrot has settled in very well and never stops talking and is learning new words from us! He’s with us until a week today when Andy & Maria fly back into Malaga late on the Friday evening, when we will pick them up.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘Hake Fillets’ dry fried on the griddle with just a few New Baby Potatoes boiled in their skins. Then tomorrow it’s a plain ‘Entrecote Steak’ dry-cooked on the griddle ‘Med-Rare’ with a Baked Potatoes and a Mixed Salad; on Sunday no ‘Roast’ just again dry-sautéed ‘Escalope of Turkey Breast’ with Basmati Rice!!

Over in England this evening, actually Cardiff in Wales, the ‘Six Nations Rugby Union ‘ starts when Wales ‘welcome’ England! I will watch it upstairs in the office after finding it on one of my sports channels or on BBC TV/ITV via my online coverage. This week over here its been the ‘Copa Del Rey’ – like the ‘FA Cup’ but over two legs, Barcelona won 5-0 against Elche and in a nasty match Atletico Madrid beat Real Madrid 2-0!!

PS; I've got my Friday's mixed up,slightly, so no rugby this evening its the 6th February!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
