A CRISP AND SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 10th/ JANUARY 2015.

We had a nice lie in this morning until ‘Charlie’ woke us up by ‘barking’! He does like to be un-covered first thing in the morning and then goes on to not stop talking for quite a while! He is not a problem and no bother to look after, all our neighbors and their children love him, last night Manolo from Bar Rojas was here, he is a great animal lover and he keeps caged birds which are very popular in the village.

The reason Manolo was here was last night was that our old neighbor who lives opposite our house, Alonso, had a ‘funny moment’ in the street outside our front door and we rushed to help him into his house, I then went and called Manolo to help speak to him to check that he was all right.

So after breakfast I’m back up in the office after a call from Josie, up in a windy and cold Skelton, to arrange to pick her up from the airport over in Gibraltar next Friday evening, which is no problem, later the same evening we are going across to Malaga airport to collect Andy & Maria! On the way back from Gibraltar we will call into a supermarket so that Josie can pick up some essentials for her stay. We are looking forward to welcoming back the ‘Queen’ to sunny Manilva where all her loyal subjects here are also!

I’m at the moment watching ‘Saturday Kitchen Live’ on the small PC as I’m typing the Blog, as you can see! We have a quiet weekend at home planned for today and tomorrow as next week we are busy in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ and ‘Bird Sanctuary Paradise’ as well as the ‘Executive Pick Up & Deliver’ business!!

At the moment 'Chispa' has come calling and is playing around my feet in the office.

Brenda has gone into one of her ‘ing’ modes and is at present mopping before doing some essential cleaning,polishing,washing.drying and ironing as well as any other ‘ing’s’ she can find to do! So I’m staying up in the office to keep out of her way and from under her feet – as instructed!

This evening we are having ‘Entrecote Steak’ plain grilled on the hot plate ‘Med- Rare’ with sautéed Baby Mushrooms, finely sliced Green Beans and a Baked Potato, on the side a Mixed salad with a boiled Campo Egg and not forgetting the Dijon Mustard!

Our next door neighbor, Anna has just passed in through our kitchen window some fresh Aselgas,Lemons & Oranges from her 'Campo' which we use over the weekend and next week.

The football this weekend is back to normal with over in the ‘Premiere League’ over in England as Sunderland welcome Liverpool and Everton welcome Manchester City, who are a bit of a ‘bogey’ team to City over the years! Over here in ‘La Liga’ Real Madrid welcome Espanyol, the second team from Barcelona and Mano’s team and then tomorrow its Barcelona v Atl.Madrid in the top of the ‘Liga’ clash; let’s hope it does not develop into a nasty game as usual!

After supper we will catch up with all the news, sport, all over Europe and the current weather details; then it will be time to try and find a film to watch.

If only!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
