A VERY ' CRISP' SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 26th/ NOVEMBER 2018.

We had a little lie in this morning, ‘Scruffy’ spent in the night in his executive bed with his blanket, then this morning joined us on the bed for his first cuddles, we then got ourselves freshened up, he sits & waits, he’s a real character and so well behaved, we just love having him with us in ‘Doggy World Heaven ‘ – he’s being collected later today, he is back with us next Monday for the day.

While we were getting ourselves ready we listened to the ‘ Andrew Charles Breakfast Show ‘ on “ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW “ – the new music quiz was a six second flash, I got it straight away, ‘ Van Morrison – Moondance ‘ – so we got another mention and go into the draw on Friday morning, watch this space.

It was then time to take ‘ Scruffy’ out for his first walk of the day, Chispa’ joined us, she runs along with no lead and responds to us either in Spanish or English, as went along ‘Calle Mar’ to call at the ‘Bank Cash Machine’ When we returned I was on the ‘Breakfast Rota’ so we had ‘Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ – open on brown for Brenda – smother in ‘ HP ‘ Brown sauce, with mugs of strong ‘PG ‘ Tips tea, to set us up for the week ahead.

This evening we are going down to the local Surgery as we have our appointments with ‘Carmen’ the Council’s Chiropodist, first thing tomorrow morning we are going down to the main ‘Medical Centre’ as Brenda has her appointment for her Blood tests etc, while we are there I will make an appointment for her to see our Doctor, Natalia, later next week for a review/check up, at the same time I’m due this week for my monthly ‘ V 12 ‘ injection, so I will arrange a visit to the Nurse.

We are then we are going across to the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ for my appointment at the ‘Rehabilitation Department’ for a review of my left-hand problem, while we are there we will try and chase up, at the main desk, an appointment with the ‘ Heart Consultant ‘ for Brenda, which is overdue, we have been chasing it on the phone, for the past few months, watch this space.

As usual on Friday morning I will be out on my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping.

This morning when we were out with the dogs it was very ‘ Sharp’ to say the least, yesterday evening we had a heavy rain storm with strong winds, which was not forecast, overnight the wind dropped and this morning it was clear & dry, but still very crisp, only reaching 16 degs+ - by lunchtime, down to single figures( 8/9 ) degs overnight, the forecast for this week is now looking settled, with patchy clouds, sunny at times and dry, going a little warmer as the week goes on, hovering on the 20 degs mark but still with the threat of the ‘ wet-stuff’ in the air, next week it’s looking like we are in for more of the same, watch this space.

See below two pictures taken this morning, showing the ‘New Brighton Lighthouse’ ( Perch Rock )- now decommissioned, at the confluence of the River Mersey and Liverpool Bay & a view up and across the River Mersey to Liverpool in the distance, on a beautiful but cold day.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Pork Schnitzels’ – using breadcrumbs from the local Bakery, shallow-fried in Vegetable Oil, until crisp & Golden Brown, then finished ‘ Holstein’ style – with Anchovy Fillets & Capers and topped with a ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs! Served with finely sliced ‘French’ Green Beans & ‘Spaghetti Milanese ‘ – tossed in Tomato Salsa with shredded Smoked Ham. The Menu’s for the rest of the week are still TBC, watch this space.

Last night after supper we caught the next episode of “ The Little Drummer Girl’ – the plot is getting rather hard to follow, it comes back to me, as I read the book many years ago, we are also watching for the first time in a long time ‘ I’m a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!’

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
