We were both up early this morning,
after a quick freshen up we set off on our travels down to Sabinillas for the
weekly shopping, we called into ‘ itZabar’ for toast & tea before ‘Mercadona
‘ opened, Brenda carried on to the ‘ English Bookshop’ to post all the Christmas
Cards, to family & friends ‘World Wide’!
Meanwhile I did our main shop, before Brenda
joined me, to come back up the hill to unload back at the house, I then put the
car away in the underground car park.
This morning has started a little grey
& overcast, with a very light/fine drizzle, the sun is breaking though and
the clouds are clearing, as there is a light breeze, by lunchtime it’s due to
reach 19 degs+ - overnight down to 9 degs! The weekend is staying the same,
dry, settled with patchy clouds and the sun out at times, next week is going to
be settled, dry & sunny, getting warmer, up into the low 20s, at times,
watch this space.
For our supper this evening we are
having ‘ Pan-Seared Fillets of Hake’ – dusted in seasoned flour and finished ‘
A La Meuniere’ style, in foaming Lemon/Parsley Butter, with Broccoli Florets
& Garden Peas and Parsley New Potatoes, accompanied with my homemade ‘
Tartar’ sauce. On Saturday it’s going to be ‘ Grilled Fillet steaks’ with all
the trimmings, then on Sunday, for a change, we are having ‘ Braised Lamb
Shanks in Minted Gravy’ – with assorted fresh, local Vegetables and ‘Pommes
Rissolees’
On Saturday Lee is calling in, after he
returns from the UK, to re-set the ‘ IPTV’ system with a new ‘URL’ etc, so
hopefully we will back on the ‘UK’ system, in time for all the sports coverage
as well as all the programmes that we follow, watch this space.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
