A CHILLY & WET SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 21st/ NOVEMBER 2018.

We over-slept this morning as the village was even quieter than normal due to the heavy rain overnight, after a quick freshen up we had our toast & tea before getting this evenings supper on the go.

I got this evenings ‘ Chicken & Mushroom Curry ‘ on the way, using diced Chicken Breasts & Fillet, lightly dusted in seasoned flour and browned –off, at the same time I make the sauce, with chopped Onion & Garlic, sweated-off with a large dash of ‘Lee & Perrins & Tabasco’ - diced ‘ Fuji’ Apple, Button Mushrooms,( fresh & tinned!) - lots of Lemon & Lime juice, with fife different basic Curry Powders, then the Chicken is added along with a strong ‘Chicken & Vegetable’ stock, as well as four generic Pastes & Mango Chutney, not forgetting the Diced Coconut and then left to cook-off under the eagle eye of the ‘ Second Chef’! She also has prepared her famous ‘ Basmati Rice’ – served tonight with sliced local Bananas & Garden Peas. The ‘ Aromas’ are wafting upstairs to the office/studio and up & down our street, “ Sexton’s Curry House “ is open!

As I said we have had more, overnight, heavy rain storms which are carrying on this morning, later it’s due to be lighter, with dry breaks, hovering on the 17 degs+ mark, during the night it was down to 12 degs, still very overcast & cloudy, tomorrow we are in for more of the same, even getting a little cooler, then on Friday it will be hopefully a little dryier, when I’m out on my travels for our weekly shopping, over the weekend it’s staying the same but the ‘ wet-stuff could return, at times, next week is now looking more settled, staying dry with patchy clouds as the sun breaks through, reaching 20 degs by next weekend, watch this space.

We have just received in the lunchtime post two ‘ Anniversary Cards’ ( 47th this year!) – one from Jenny and one from Sandra & Bill, over in Everett, Ontario, Canada, where there is major post-strike! ‘Thanks’!

It’s a stay at home day, keeping out of the wet-stuff, relaxing and basically doing nothing, because we can, it time for the jumpers to come out, we are not putting the ‘Oil Heaters’ on just yet, it’s going to be ‘TV’ day, channel hopping, as usual, to find something to watch.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
