A VERY HOT AND SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 13th/JULY 2014.

A nice long lie in this morning for all of us, last night it was very warm and it’s going to get hotter by Wednesday as a new front come in from Africa; so it will reach the high 30s and during the night it only drops a few degrees! We are now into our full summer mode with all the fans on as we move about the house and of course our ‘Siesta’s’ are essential in the afternoons.

After getting everything ready for tonight’s ‘Buffet a la Sexton’ – there is a lot of last minute things to finish before we serve it, we then had our leisurely showers and freshen up, Brian is going for a swim later at the ‘Manilva Green Apart hotel’ - Den & Josie are joining us for supper and then later we will watch the end of the ‘World Cup’ from Brazil as Germany play Argentina – the first half in the house and then up to ‘Bar Rojas’ for the second half.

Germany won 1-0 with a very late goal in the final minute of extra-time!

Last night Den & Josie went down to the “ Moon Festival ”on the beach in Sabinillas,some of the pictures above were taken by Den, Gary from the ‘Resident’ newspaper and Antonia the Mayor! – Thanks!

This afternoon it’s the 9th stage of the ‘Tour De France’ when the riders face six mountain climbs in the ‘Vosges Region’ from Gerardmer to Mulhouse; at the moment we are watching the ‘German Motor GP’- the result will be posted later.Marc Marquez has just won making it 9 out of 9 wins!

We are just starting to think about next week, some essential shopping is called for on Monday, on Tuesday I’ am taking Brian across to the Bus Station in Marbella early for his flight back to Finland, meanwhile back in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ Brenda will welcome back little ‘Princess Reina’and later ‘Scruffy’ is being dropped off for the day also, then on Wednesday he’s back and on Thursday ‘Reina’ is here again!

 Thoughts for the Day; See above.
