A HOT AND VERY SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 8^th/ JULY 2014.

We were up sharpish this morning as it was little ‘Reina’s’ first day with us,Daniela dropped her off and she soon settled in after finding her way around – see the picture below; after breakfast we went out for Brenda’s first walk, very slowly around to the chemists and then down and back to the butchers; everything was freshly made so we changed our minds and I bought some of his delicious ‘Marinated Diced Pork’ to make at Brenda’s request my famous “ Brochettes A La Sexton ” served on a bed of savory Basmati Rice with my equally famous ‘Tomato Salsa’ on the side! On the way back we bumped into Den & Josie having their morning ‘Tostado & Tomate’ in ‘ Bar Castillo’ so we sat with them and had a nice chat and took the world in as it passed us by in sunny Manilva; Brian came along later after he had his ‘Spanish Special’ back in our house which I had left ready for him! ‘Reina’ had a good walk and was a little ‘Princess’ as she met the ‘Queen of Skelton’ with her ‘Consort’ for the first time, she likes to sit on your knee and take in the views.

Talking of views last night Den took some pictures with his ‘Nikon’ on ‘Zoom’ from their roof terrace of Africa & ‘The Straits of Gibraltar’ See them above!

After coming back I’ve just made the ‘Brochettes’ with fresh local Mushrooms, Onions & Shallots and Red & Green Peppers; Brenda is pottering about downstairs and ‘Reina’ is playing around her feet, we have blocked the stairs at the bottom as she does no do stairs at the moment – a bit like Brenda!!

So later I will be watching the 4^th stage of the ‘Tour de France’ on the ‘TDP’ Sports Channel first and later over on ‘TVE 1’ with the excellent coverage by the French TV with Spanish commentary! Then tonight on ‘Tele Cinco’ it’s the first semi-final of the ‘World Cup’ over in Brazil when Germany plays the host nation Brazil!

Brazil 1 ---- GERMANY 7  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  TOTALLY HUMILIATED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kittel won the 4th stage of the Tour - his 3rd win in four days! Mark Cavendish will be even sicker!! 

Little 'Reina' has just been picked up,she has settled in fine and is coming back early on Thursday morning.
