WARM AND SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY; " INTERNATIONAL DAY OF HAPPINESS "

THURSDAY 20th/ MARCH 2014. “ INTERNATIONAL DAY OF HAPPINESS ”

We were up at the crack of dawn today and shot around to the surgery for our appointment, the only problem was I had miss-read the date, we were a day early! My ‘secretary’ had not checked the form – so it’s her fault – well that’s my excuse!

The weather forecast for over the weekend is OK but a little of the wet stuff could catch us out on Saturday as a front crosses over;then its back to normal.

We have planned the menu's for the weekend ahead, for our Friday 'Fish Night' the 'Prep/vegetable' Chef has requested Fillets of Hake 'Duglere' - then on Saturday for the 'Steak Special' we are having 'Steak Diane' and then on Sunday its back to a roast - 'Roast Lemon Chicken' with all the trimmings!

So we came back and had our breakfast and planned our day for tomorrow; its back to the surgery first thing then carry on down to the do the shopping in Sabinillas, call into the bank and pick the papers up, at lunchtime tomorrow Rose is bringing ‘Scruffy’ around for his first day with us, then he is staying with us on Saturday and Sunday before going home on Monday. Watch out for his picture!

Later this morning after the dog came crashing in we went for a nice long walk and ended up sat on the 'Mirador' on our 'Seat!' in the warm sunshine - two old-age pensioner's let out for the day!!

So this evening for supper we are having a ‘Soft’- ‘Mixed Grill’- with Lamb Cutlets, English Pork Sausages, Smoked Bacon,Mushrooms,Tomato, fried Campo Eggs and some sauté potatoes on the side – ‘HP’ sauce will be available!

Last night we watched the news, sports highlights and weather then channel hopped as there was no good films on; the surprise of the night was in the football when Manchester Utd won 3-0 with a Van Persie hat-trick after being 2-0 down from the first leg against ‘Olympiakos’ – so they go into tomorrows draw for the Quarter Finals of the ‘UEFA Champions League’!

Thought for the Day; See above.
