CRISP AND CLEAR IN SUNNY MANILVA AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 10th/ MARCH 2014. “C0MMONWEALTH DAY”

This morning we have awoken to yet another fine day in sunny Manilva with a clear sky, the sun out and a little crisp breeze off the Atlantic! After breakfast I shot out to our local bank in Calle Mar to pay the water bill, I then called into the butchers and bought some Pork Chops-English-cut and Chicken Wings for Tapas; I’ve ordered a boned-joint of local Marinated Lamb for this Sunday.

We have just come back from a nice brisk walk around the village with the dog - you can see the breeze has changed direction by the 'Weather Vane' above the clock in the picture above!

The menu’s for the week are sorted, tonight after we come back from the hospital we are having ‘Minute Steak’ and Chips, tomorrow evening for a change as we are also out at the hospital again in the late afternoon I’ am going to pick up a ‘ Rotisserie Chicken’ from the local shop in Calle Mar; then on Wednesday we are having the Pork Chops baked in the oven – Thursday is find something in the fridge day and then on Friday it will a ‘Fishy Friday!

This evening we are going across to the hospital past Marbella as Brenda has an appointment at the Eye clinic for a final test for the consultant; tomorrow it’s another one in the late afternoon so on the way back we are doing some essential shopping in the ‘Mall’ in Marbella. Then tomorrow morning we are going down to La Linea opposite the border with Gibraltar to the traffic department to pick up my Spanish Driving License and at the same time hand in my English one!

The rest of the week we are free and easy down here on the ‘Costa Del Sol’ ! The ‘Gang of Four’ will have returned from their adventures around Australia so we will make contact with Tim on the Skype video after he has overcome the ‘Jet-Lag’!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
