HOT AND SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 16th/ MARCH 2014.

Today the temperatures are going up to 23/25degs down here on the ‘Costa Del Sol’! After breakfast we sorted out tonight’s supper; we are having ‘Roast Leg of marinated Local Lamb’ which I will roast this evening as its boned but not rolled, this morning I’ve just made a large dish of ‘Boulangere’ Potatoes – hand cut which will also go in the oven tonight when I will finish the Lamb on the top of the potatoes! The vegetable chef has also just finished getting ready diced Carrots & Turnips,Diamond-cut Green Beans and Garden Peas – lots of Mint sauce on the side! We can’t wait!!

See the pictures above of tonight's roast; I roasted the Lamb on a bed of Leeks,Celery,Onions and Mushrooms( added near the end) - the Lamb was the most tasty and succulent Spanish Lamb that we have had - One 'Helluva' supper !!

It’s now time for washing our hair; showering and shaving (me only!) before we sort our wardrobes out and go for a nice long walk around the village with the dog later - see the pictures above; no plans so far for next week, we have no hospital appointments so it looks like we are having a nice relaxing time here in sunny Manilva, Brenda has already started to top up her colour after yesterdays visit to the terrace, we are finding some books to start reading again and the radio is tuned into the local station up on the terrace! Our ‘Happy Hour’ has returned – if I’ am totally honest it never went away!

This afternoon I will watch the ‘Match of the Day’ over in England when Manchester Utd welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford – my ‘IT’ ‘First Row Sports’ channel was working very well yesterday on the large PC and on the smaller one I had a good connection with the ‘IT’ ‘Filmon TV’ channel as I watched BBC TV! The other day for the horse racing from Cheltenham I went back to the ‘IT’ ‘Wiziwig’ sports channel which was also excellent coverage. Over here last night Real Madrid could only manage to beat Malaga 0-1 so today’ s game in ‘La Liga’ -  Barcelona v Osasuna is a must win for ‘Barca’

They must have read the Blog as they won 7-0 !! Messi scored a hat-trick!!!

Liverpool have just beaten Manchester Utd 0-3 - Gerrard also missed a third penalty,which would have been a hat-trick for him!!

Yesterday evenings rugby in Paris when Ireland beat France 20-22 was very exciting, gripping and emotional as they not only won the championship but is was their captain’s Brian O’Driscoll last time playing in the ‘Emerald Green’ shirt as the most capped(141) player in Rugby Union! With just 90 seconds left the French scored a try that would have won the match and made England the winners of the ‘Six Nations’ title – it was ruled a forward pass so the Irish went mad!

After supper last night we caught up with news, weather and sports highlights before watching yet another Jason Statham movie, it must be a month for all his films, all action and un-intelligible talking from him!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
