A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF A ' HELLUVA' WEEK.

MONDAY 3rd/FEBRUARY 2020.   " 02022020 " !

I was up very early this morning to welcome back little ‘Miss Bella’ with us for the day, she shot upstairs and joined us on the bed for a further lie in, she’s back with us tomorrow morning in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’

After freshening up as I was on the breakfast rota I had my favourite ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty’ – smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce – open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of strong ‘PG’ Tips Tea to start the week in the right direction!

The week has started with a glorious day, the sun was out first thing and there is a very light breeze, the sky is bright blue and cloudless, so by lunchtime it’s due to reach 22degs+ - overnight only now dropping to 12/13 degs, tomorrow is going to be even warmer, then from Wednesday onwards, as the next ‘Atlantic’ front comes in, we are in for little cooler time, for the rest of the week and over the weekend, as the breeze picks up, bringing with it  the possibility of some of the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ – back to hovering in the mid ‘ teens’ – next week it’s forecast to be dry, settled and going warmer as the week goes on, watch this space.

I then waited for our friend Andy to call in, as I was taking him to the ‘Manilva Green Apartment Hotel’ to collect his overdue wages, as Andy now has no car, after many years of repairs etc he’s let it go. We then shot down to his local Bank in Sabinillas, before going along the coast road, past a sparkling Mediterranean, to Estepona to go to his main Bank, which is ours also, so he could pay his monthly mortgage, he also while he was at the desk, very kindly had them check that our ‘ Car Insurance Documents’ were up to date etc,  to see if we have the windscreen cover – it’s a ‘ RESULT’ –we are covered! ( See later)

We then went into the top of Estepona to go to the new ‘ Ammex’ office, the family lawyers for our house, to hand in the ‘ Repairs’ etc,  documents, so we can arrange an appointment with them in our own good time, to renew the annual contract. Andy knew where the office was, as he pays his ‘Community Fees’ there!

We came back up to sunny Manilva and I dropped Andy back at the house, as I put the car away, he was going to fix our main bedroom ‘pelmet’ that fell down over the weekend, finally he called our ‘ Car Insurance’ – hot-line – with the ‘ RESULT’ that they have ordered a new wind screen for the car, which will arrive tomorrow, in Estepona, the garage will call us to arrange an appointment to install it!   Watch this space.

I was then time to go along to ‘ Bar Castillo’ for a nice cool celebration and ‘ thank you’ drink, sat outside in the very hot sunshine, when I return I needed to put some ‘After Sun Block’ on !

Yesterday evening Brian & Andy joined us for supper, as we had the boned & rolled ‘Roast Leg of Pork’ with ‘ Crackling’ and a savoury ‘ Mixed Herb Stuffing’ – with a Brenda vegetable ‘extravaganza’ – Cabbage with Acelgas, Crushed Carrots & Turnips, Cauliflower Florets in a Cheese sauce, Broccoli Florets a la Nature, Braised Onion and Garden Peas, with Baby New Boiled Potatoes in their skins, Mashed Potato and of course my famous ‘ Goose Fat’ Roast potatoes, not forgetting my ‘ finger-licking Pan Gravy and a sauceboat of ‘Bramley Apple ‘ sauce!

This evening we are having ‘Cold Roast Pork’ with all the leftover vegetables and potatoes! The menus for the rest of the week are still TBC, watch this space.

See below the ‘ Roast Leg of Pork’ as it came out of the oven!

Yesterday afternoon I managed to get the ‘TV’ back online, partly, after resetting the ‘ Amazon Fire Stick ‘ - the main ‘IPTV’ system is still not working but we have the ‘BBC I Player & ITV Hub’ back, the Spanish terrestrial system is still not working, it looks like we need the aerial/line checking, watch this space.

This evening we will catch up with all the ‘Quiz Shows’ that we follow; later after supper it will be the next two-part episode of the very exciting and gripping ‘Silent Witness’

We called Sandra & Bill, as we had arranged, on the ‘ Skype’ video last night and had a good catch up with all their news, the snow is still deep, outside in Everett, Ontario, Canada, they are looking forward to their weekend away, in four weeks time, down to Florida to see their friends, its’ only a three hour flight away!

See below Sandra in new ‘ onesie’ ! – her sister ‘ Caroline’ had also bought, at the same time, the same one, but not out together!  ‘Sister Love ‘

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
