A ' FRESH' AND SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY.

SATURDAY 15th/ FEBRUARY 2020.

We had a nice lie in this morning, the first this week, ‘Chico’ slept all night on his duvet, at the foot of the bed, he’s such a ‘Happy Chappy’ – no problem to look after, he has a good appetite and has found his regular spots when we are out walking with him, he loves going out and settles down in the warm sunshine, he’s with us for three weeks and  gets on with the other dogs as they pass through ‘Doggy World Heaven ‘ later in the month, little ‘ Miss Bella’ next Monday/Tuesday and ‘Lola’ at the end of the month, watch this space.

After freshening up Brenda took him out for his first walk of the day, when she returned, as she was on the breakfast rota I had her now famous ‘ Campo’ Poached Eggs on Toast – boiled for herself with brown toast fingers, with mugs of very hot/strong tea, to get the day started in the right direction!

This morning has started fresh and sunny, the sky is cloudless and blue, with a very light breeze, so by lunchtime it’s forecast to reach 19/20degs+ again – overnight down to 11/12 degs – tomorrow going a little warmer, as well as on Monday, the tail-end of ‘ Storm Dennis’ – which is hitting the UK today, is now reaching the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ by Tuesday, bringing with it a colder, wet and very windy front, the overall temperatures dropping to 16/17 degs, with some of the ‘ Wet-Stuff ‘ due to hit us, as well as by next weekend stronger winds, but with sunshine and just a few patchy clouds mainly, the following week is looking a lot more settled, watch this space.

On the sports front this weekend; in the ‘Premiere League’ Liverpool have the long journey down to play Norwich City, the only match this weekend, over here in ‘La Liga’ Barcelona are at home to Getafe and Real Madrid welcome tomorrow Celta Vigo. No ‘International Rugby Union’ this weekend. The ‘ National Hunt Racing’ this afternoon is from Ascot, Haydock Park & Wincanton.

At lunchtime we went for a short walk and ended up sat outside 'Bar Rojas Sol Vida ' in the very hot sunshine with nice cool drinks, sat next to us was a nice couple from Portsmouth, Stephen & Wendy who are down on holiday for a week checking out the area. We gave then a few suggestions etc to help them in the right direction.

For our supper this evening we are having a large ‘Grilled Rib of Beef’ – on the bone, cooked on a very hot griddle-plate ‘Med-Rare’ – then left to rest- taking it off the bone and slicing it into fingers ‘ French’ style and garnished with seared Asparagus Spears & Button Mushrooms, with a sauceboat of the classic ‘ Bearnaise’ sauce on the side, accompanied with whole Baby ‘ French’ Green Beans and of course triple-cooked ‘ Frits’

On Sunday we are not roasting this week, instead we are having ‘ Pan-Seared Medallions of Pork Fillet’ with a creamy Green Peppercorn salsa, served with my classic ‘ Breton’ style Potatoes, - the rest of the whole ‘Pork Fillet’ will be become ‘ Escalope of Pork Schnitzels ‘ for our Monday supper! Watch this space.

PS; The ‘OliveNet’ engineers have just called in and are going to install the new Router etc in the next hour! Watch out because it might mean that we are off air/online over the weekend, watch this space.

PPS; All finished and installed as well as re-setting the 'IPTV' system and the main TV - upstairs in the office/studio is also reconnected and working and back Online - with the new password on both systems " RESULT "

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
