A GREY, OVERCAST, CLOUDY, WINDY AND WET SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

THURSDAY 6th/ FEBRUARY 2020.

We had a nice long, well needed, lie in this morning, as I’m a little ‘off-colour’ to say the least, it started yesterday evening, with a head cold (runny nose) and a little cough, as well as aches & pains all over, I also need to be close to a toilet, at all times! I must have picked up a bug, as I had my anti-flu jab (Gripe) before Xmas, I’m taking the tablets etc and the ‘ Night Nurse’ is looking after me!

We have cancelled our trip across to Estepona, this morning, as I was going to my Barber, Manuel, for the ‘ full-works’ and Brenda needed some essential cosmetic shopping from ‘ Primark’ -  we will fit it next week on Thursday, as we have a busy week in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ – little ‘Miss Bella’ is with us on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, ‘ Scruffy’ is with us for a sleep-over on Thursday into Friday and then on next Saturday ‘ Chico’ is due to arrive for his extended 3/4week holiday.

After freshening up Brenda treated me to a moral-health building ‘ Toasted English Pork Sausage Butty’ – smothered in ‘HP’ Brown sauce – open on brown for herself, with mugs of very strong tea! We have also decided to now go out on our travels on Saturday morning, instead of tomorrow morning, for the weekly shopping, to give me more time to get myself right, as we are out for supper on Friday evening with our friends Kevin & Caroline, where I have booked a table at ‘ La Finca Thai Fusion’ Watch this space.

Yesterday afternoon I shot across to the specialist garage in Estepona, with our friend Andy, where they fitted the new wind-screen ( 1/half hours) – all arranged by our insurance – very efficient and quick!

The new cold, wet & windy ‘ Atlantic’ front has moved away the ‘ Sea Mist/Fog’ – it’s now overcast, grey and cloudy with a stiff breeze, the threat of the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ in the air, to hit us later, the overall temperatures have dropped by nearly 10 degs, down to just 15/16 degs, with the possibility of the same tomorrow, when we are hopefully  out & about in the evening, over the weekend it’s looking dry & settled, going a little warmer, up to 19 degs’ – overnight dropping to 10/11 degs – next week we are in for a dry, warm & settled week, with sunshine and a few patchy clouds hanging around, a light breeze and hovering in the high ‘ teens’ – back up to 21 degs+ - by next Tuesday, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Omelettes of Choice’ – Cheese ( Mature Cheddar& Parmesan)  for Brenda and my favourite ‘ Paysanne’ ( finely/fried diced Onion, Bacon & Potato) – served with finely sliced ‘ French’ Green Beans and a ‘ Baked Potato’

See below my ' Omelette Paysanne ' !

Now for more bad news, the ‘IPTV’ system, I Player & ITV Hub’ - are now not working, again, as well as the main ‘Spanish’ terrestrial system! I have tried all the re-sets etc, un-plugging, checking all the settings, all with no luck, I have sent a request message to our friend Lee, to see if he can call in and help me, watch this space!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
