A VERY ' FRESH' & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 26th/ FEBRUARY 2020.

We were up very early this morning to welcome ‘ Nacho & Baby Chris’ staying with us for the day as the family are going up to Ronda on the train for the day, they have now settled in, ‘Chris’ no longer a ‘ baby’  has trebled in size since we last saw him, he’s now a ‘Pup’- ‘Nacho’ watches over him like his big brother, we took all three of them out for a walk around the bottom of the village, ‘Chico’ is as usual very relaxed and they are all getting on very well.

When we returned we had a quick toast & tea, before the gas-bottle delivery man called to exchange the bottle,  I then shot down to the Butchers for a little more of his ‘ Diced Beef’ –Brenda also popped down to the local shop for some bits & pieces.

I then got the ‘ Beef & Vegetable Stew’ on the go, for this evenings supper, tomorrow it’s going to become traditional ‘ Lob Scouse’ after I add more diced/par-boiled potatoes! The diced ‘Beef’ is dusted in seasoned flour and browned off, at the same time I prepare and make the ‘Stew’ – diced Onions, Shallots & Garlic, diced Carrots, Turnips, Leeks, Celery, Mushrooms, Potatoes and Green Beans, all sweated-off, with a dash of ‘Lea & Perrins with Tabasco’ – and a large spoon of Tomato Frito, the browned-off ‘Beef’ is added to the pan along with a rich ‘Beef & Vegetable’ stock, seasoned to taste and left to cook-off under the eagle eye of the ‘ Second Chef’ –  the ‘ aromas’ are wafting around the house and up the street, Brenda has prepared ‘Cabbage with Alselgas, we will also have on the side some ‘Baby Beetroots’!

This morning it’s very ‘ Fresh’ as the breeze has picked up a bit, the clouds have cleared and the sky is bright blue, so by lunchtime it’s going to reach 19 degs+ - overnight down to 10/11 degs, over next couple of days and the weekend it’s staying the same, with just a small chance of the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ as the next ‘ Atlantic’ front come in, even getting a little warmer, as the breeze drops, back up to 21 degs by next Tuesday, with warm sunshine and a few patchy clouds, hovering in the high ‘ teens’ – staying dry & settled for all of next week, watch this space.

We are having an at home day, relaxing and enjoying the dogs company, taking them all out at lunchtime and early evening, before supper, last night we watched the next episode of “ The Split “ – which is getting rather gripping as more family secrets come out and the divorce cases become tense, after supper we are going to watch the ‘ Round of 16’ of the ‘ Champions League’ as Real Madrid welcome Manchester City in the first leg!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
