A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 26th/ SEPTEMBER 2019.

We managed another little lie in this morning after a rather hot-sleepless night, after freshening up as I was on the breakfast rota I had my now famous ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty’ – smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce for me, open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of hot tea, to get another day on the go.

In ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ we have no ‘ guests’ until Tuesday the 8th October ( Miss Bella) – ‘ Chispa’ is crashing in & out all the time, missing all her friends, watch this space.

See below the ‘Salthouse Dock over in Liverpool, yesterday morning!

The sun is slowly breaking through and the sky is clearing, there is a light breeze, so by lunchtime it’s forecast to reach  26 degs+ - overnight still only dropping to 21 degs+ - tomorrow and over the weekend it’s staying the same, with a few patchy clouds at times, hovering on the 28 degs+ mark, on Sunday, when the family arrives from Canada, next week is looking dry, hot & sunny, hovering in the low 30s,+ at times, a little warmer, there is a little breeze around, hopefully keeping it not too hot, when we are out & about with Sandra & Bill and the family! Watch this space.

“ Countdown 4 Days “

This will not be needed !

At lunchtime we are going up to Casares to “ Restaurante  Sarmiento Brasa Andaluza “ to book & arrange their private room for ten persons, for Friday lunchtime the 4th October for Sandra & Bill, Alanna & Blake, Neil & Nicole and Dylan & Kritika and us!

We had a ‘Facebook’ message from Sandra & Bill yesterday with ideas for next week, we are going out with them on Monday evening to celebrate my birthday, so we have suggested, for a change, the ‘ Kinnaree Thai ‘ On Tuesday ( Ronda) & Thursday ( Tarifa) will be our trips out & about, they are thinking of going across to Estepona on Wednesday morning to the large outside local Market, one evening, perhaps ‘Blake ( Head Chef )  will cook a meal for us,  the rest of the time they are relaxing by the pool/beach and exploring their surroundings, watch this space.

Yesterday lunchtime we bumped into our neighbour, Mario, the Mayor, as he was coming out of the Town Hall after a meeting, I was able to ‘ interrogate’ him, I first pointed to the sky and the missing coloured canopy along ‘Calle Mar’- and asked ‘ Why’?!

He said it was because of the wind damage  is taking a lot of time to repair, but he guaranteed/promised  that it would be going back up in the ‘New Year’ as the weather settles!

I then asked him about the closing of the underground car park/garage on the 31st October, where I keep our car and pay for annually, he confirmed that it’s just for routine maintenance etc and would be back in use very quickly with no changes to the arrangements!

Watch this space, hopefully it pays to have friends in ‘ High Places’!!

Our ‘IPTV’ system has still not come back online and now the ‘ BBC TV I-Player’ is not working also, meaning that we only have the ‘ITV Hub’ to watch the ‘English’ television, which is not good as most of the daily programmes that we follow are on the BBC! ‘ITV’ is all commercials and ‘ Soaps’! We are going to have think about another system, but we have only just paid the annual fee for the ‘ IPTV’! Watch this space.

All back online and working " Result " !

This evening for our supper we are having the rest of the “ Beef & Mushroom Curry “ with ‘Basmati’ Rice & triple-cooked ‘ Chips’ Friday & Saturday are still TBC, before the staff go on holiday, from Sunday and most of next week!

This evening we will channel hop ( very limited!) to find something to watch, on ‘ITV’ or the Spanish terrestrial system, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
