A VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 10th / JULY 2016.

Another nice lie in this morning before the church bells started to call the  ‘faithful ‘ – after breakfast we sorted ourselves out for the day ahead, Brenda has put some washing on and then is preparing the vegetables and potatoes for this evening supper, meanwhile I’m up in the office/studio on the WWW.

‘Chispa’ called in to see us first thing, she’s in and out all day at this time of the year, she’s going on holidays next week down to the family ‘ Campo’  In ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ we have a busy week; ‘Reina’ is with us all next week from Monday to Sunday, she’s sleeping over on Friday to Sunday inc. as Daniela & Lee are over in England for Lee’s mothers wedding, ‘Scruffy’ is coming for a sleep over on Monday evening. Watch this space.

Next week Brenda has an appointment on Monday afternoon with the ‘ Physiotherapist ‘ and the weekly shopping is going to be on Friday, the following week we have our appointments at the surgery for our Blood Tests etc.

Its going to be another hot one today; the sun as usual was out early and despite a little breeze its already very hot, last night was yet another un-comfortable experience, next week is promising to be the hottest week so far this year, hovering in the high 30s and reaching over 40 degs in places, watch this space.

Tonight we are having ‘ Pan-Seared Medallions of Pork Fillet ‘ severed with my famous ‘ Charcutiere Sauce ‘ ( Onions, Gherkins, Wine Vinegar & Mustard ) together with a selection of local seasonal vegetables and ‘Pommes Lyonnaise ‘ - next week’s menu’s are yet to chosen.

Now for our sports day ahead, its the ‘ Men’s Final ‘ at Wimbledon  as Andy Murray plays Milos Raonic, at the same time at Silverstone its the ‘ British Grand Prix ‘ with Lewis Hamilton on the ‘ Pole’ position, later the evening in Paris its the Final of the ‘ UEFA European Football Championships ‘ as France play Portugal; not forgetting that down in the ‘ Pryenees ‘ this afternoon, also, its ‘ Stage 9 ‘ of the “ Tour de France “ from Vielha Val D’Airan to Andorra Arcalis, over four very steep climbs & 184 kms! See the route map below. The remote control will be action!!

This evenings ‘ Happy Hour ‘ will be very welcome to break up the afternoon and keep us on the cool, straight and narrow!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
