A HOT AND CLAMMY SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 11th JULY 2016.

I was up first this morning and saw ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, she’s here every day this week including Sunday, with sleep over’s on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, this evening ‘ Scruffy is being dropped off for a sleep over and then collected later tomorrow after Rose has been for her check up at the hospital, ‘Chispa’ has called in this morning, she’s due to go on her holidays at any moment now.

This afternoon we are going down to Sabinillas, as Brenda has an appointment with the  Physiotherapist, the last one for now, as she’s now wearing ‘ fitted support tights’ as prescribed by the Doctor on her last visit, they are measured at the Chemists, she has to put them as she gets out of bed and then wears them all day, taking them off when she goes to bed! They are helping and have made a big difference. Watch this space.

As we were getting freshened up this morning I noticed the Jack & Lyn were online on the ‘Skype ‘ video, I made contact, it was the early evening over in Melbourne, at this time of the year the time difference is only 8 hours, they are both very well and rested after their 31 hour journey back home, they slept for over 13 hours! We had a good catch up with all their news, all the family over in Australia are fine, while they have been away Jack has become a Great Grandfather, again, with another one due to arrive at any moment, he’s catching up with Lyn! Lots of love and good health to them both xxxx

This morning its very warm & sunny but a little ‘ clammy’ as there is no breeze, its in the mid 30s and over the next few days its staying the time before getting hotter on Thursday before a very hot weekend, see the picture below of the Liverpool Docks and up the River Mersey out to the Irish Sea.

Yesterday we had a 12 hour TV Sports marathon as we watched the ‘ British Grand Prix’ from Silverstone as Lewis Hamilton won, in the rain, his third in succession, then in a cloud burst  ‘Stage 9’ was won by the renowned Time Trial rider Tom Dumoulin, after he broke way, Chris Froome retained the Yellow Jersey but sadly Alberto Contador had to retire after his two crashes in the first few days, today is the first ‘ rest day’ in this year’s Tour.

At Wimbledon Andy Murray won in three straight sets to win for the second time the ‘ Men’s Title’ and the later in the evening in the ‘ UEFA European Championship Final’ in Paris, Portugal stunned France after they won in extra time 1-0 despite loosing their Captain Christiano Ronaldo in the first half with a bad knee injury.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘Pork Schnitzels ‘ served on a bed of ‘ Spaghetti Milanese’ and the topped with a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg & Capers & Anchovy Fillets – “ Holstein Style “ the menu’s for the week ahead are yet to be decided.

After supper and all the sport I found on ‘TVE 1’ a late film that we had not seen before “ Legends of the Fall “ from 1994, an American epic drama about three brothers and their father living in the wilderness and plains of Montana in the early 20th century and how their lives are affected by nature, history, war and love; Brad Pitt, Aidan Quinn and Henry Thomas play the three brothers, Antony Hopkins is the father and  the very watchable Julia Ormond is the love interest, catch it to find out all the twists and turns, get your handkerchiefs ready!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
