A VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA AT THE START OF A ' HELLUVA' WEEK;

MONDAY 18th / JULY 2016.

We were up early this morning and shot down to the surgery for our appointments for our blood tests etc. When we returned we had breakfast and sorted our week ahead out; ‘Reina’ is still with us and is being collected later this evening when Lee & Daniela return from the UK, she’s back with us tomorrow and up to Friday as usual, ‘ Scruffy ‘ is coming around this afternoon for a short stay until later in the evening, there is no sign of ‘ Chispa’ as she has gone on her holidays down to the family ‘ Campo’ in the valley below the village.

We have no other plans this week, on Thursday evening we are going along to Bar Castillo for a ‘Tapas’ supper before going down to the Cultural Centre ‘ Casa del Torres’ for the ‘ Tango’ concert, then on Friday I will be down in Sabinillas for the weekly shopping, Brenda’s appointment with the Doctor is next Monday morning, my appointment  with my ‘ Prostrate Consultant has hit a glitch so I will sort it out next week when Brenda is in with her Doctor, watch this space.

The forecast for the week ahead is very hot & sunny with ‘Health’ warning out across all of Spain, down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ today we have a little sea breeze making it very pleasant, unlike the rest of the Country which is the high 30/40s – we are only on the 30 degs mark for now, by the coming weekend its going to be back at the 42 mark,at night the temperature does not drop below the 25/26 degs mark, as usual. See the picture below showing the ‘ Rock of Gibraltar ‘ last night and the weather map for the week ahead.

This evening for our supper we are having ‘ Escalope’s of Chicken Breast Schnitzels’ with the rest of the savoury Basmati Rice, finely sliced Green Beans and a few twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ The rest of the weeks menu’s have yet to be decided, its one day at the time at the moment.

Today’s ‘ Stage 16 ’ of the “ Tour De France’ is from Moirans-En-Montagne to Berne, the Capital of Switzerland, there is a cobbled climb before the finish, which could see a sprint finish again, see the route map below, yesterday Chris Froome retained the Yellow Jersey of the race leader, the race finishes in Paris on Sunday, later this week its in the Alps, watch this space.

This morning’s Breakfast Show on ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ was broadcasting live, for the first time, form the new studio/office complex in ‘ Puerto de la Duquesa’ The re-launch of the Station is still planned towards the end of the month, fingers crossed that I’m next in line to have my studio systems installed so as I can produce and broadcast ‘ live’ from up here in the heart of sunny Manilva, watch this space.

We will be back to our normal ‘Quiz’ watching this afternoon and then in the early evening our regular ‘ Happy Hour’ before supper, later we will find a late film to watch.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
