The
pictures above are showing the racing catamaran’s taking part in the above
series of races taking part around the World; yesterday afternoon it was live
on TDP Sports with excellent helicopter and graphics coverage showing all the
details of the race, boat speed, wind direction etc; the winning catamaran was
the ‘Emirates Team New Zealand’ from the Italian ‘Prada’ boat. The crew look
like racing drivers, which actually they are, with their helmets, head-cams and
two-way radios and their built in life saving suits, the other day one of then
was killed when a catamaran turned over! Its race sailing taken to the extreme
and very exciting to watch!
