MANILVA TODAY.

TUESDAY 11th/SEPTEMBER 2012.

BRIAN AND LILLI STILL HERE IN SUNNY MANILVA DAY 16 !

Well it is the folks last day here in sunny Manilva; Brian and Lilli shot down to the beach in Sabinillas to take in their last rays of sunshine before returning to the winter in Finland ! They then went on a farewell tour of all the bars between there and here saying goodbye to all their friends, ending up in Bar Rojas for a late lunch with Andy and Maria ( Day Off ) It was then siesta time before we all went out for their last evening in Manilva; their very good friends Jesus and Pili had asked us down to their ‘ Campo ’at the top of the village on the side of the valley, as you can see in the picture below, for dinner with them; it is a working farm with fruit and vegetables and lots of animals which they live off, we joined them at the kitchen table for a memorable meal, we started with their own Goats Cheese, made on Monday, served on slices of Tomato from the field below ! Pili then brought to the table from the oven ‘ Chibo ’- Roast Baby Goat ( Killed last week ) with mixed Vegetables; for the dessert we had Pili’s famous ‘ Fig Cake ’very tasty and rich and moist. Shots of different flavours followed to end our meal with them as you can see in the picture below.The ‘Abbey Road ’picture was taken by a passing stranger before I could pose properly !

WEDNESDAY MORNING 4-00AM 12th SEPTEMBER 2012.

We hit the road to Malaga Airport early this morning to catch their flight to Turku in Finland which is on the coast below Pori; we have just received a ‘ Viber’text message to say that they have arrived safely home ! See the picture below taken at the airport ! We are missing them ! Their toothbrushes are still in the bathroom so we are waiting to see them come down, late, to go out for breakfast up at Bar Rojas ! Thanks for a “ Helluva ”three weeks – how time flies when you are having fun !!

Thought for the Day;

It is the friends you can call up at 4-00am that matter !
