MANILVA THIS AFTERNOON.



NEWSFLASH; EXECUTIVE FISH PIE ( FINNISH )

BRIAN AND LILLI HER IN SUNNY MANILVA DAY 15.


The Head Chef ( Everton ) and his Commis ( Finnish ) have been very busy in the kitchen all afternoon; this morning and at lunchtime they were out and about locally and down in Sabinillas sourcing their produce,since then it has been all action as the 'Mis en Place 'was started and the cooking smells started to give off a very strong aroma in the house and up the street ! One different ingredient in the Chef's recipe is the use of " Vermouth " All will be revealed later along with the pictures before and after !!Watch this space for a further news update.

NB; The first exclusive pictures have just been taken of the ' Fish Pie ' The large one is with Cheese and the small one is without ! See above.More pictures above of the finished product and the last supper- Fish Pie;

Brian and Lilli spent a lot of time making the fish pie from scratch; the fish used was Hake,Trout,Smoked Cod and Prawns,Brian made his fish Veloute sauce from the fish bones and he also used Vermouth instead of wine; Lilli flaked the fish ( no bones ) and the mash was Brian's own recipe.He then layered the pie with blanched Spinach leaves,sliced hard boiled Egg ( Brenda ) and the fish filling and coated with the Veloute sauce and then repeated the operation again ! The cheese mash was made with Spanish Curado and the freshly made breadcrumbs had Parmesan in them !! They then went in the oven and finally under the grill.The smaller pie was with no cheese - for me !

It was rather special,the mash was fantastic and the pie was full of different tastes and was delicious - Lilli had cooked some ' Aldente ' Green Beans for Brenda and Garden Peas for me !!
