CASA OLIMPIA, DAY SEVEN.

Thursday 11th June 2009.

I had to be up early to go across in the Smart car to Tarifa to take over the keys;the plan was to leave the car there and come back in the VWV8 for Brenda ,Jack and Lyn in the afternoon, we had arranged for the hire car to be collected early as we did not need it any longer,The best laid plans of Men,etc. as we found out that there was a problem with the ABS on the VW and we could not use it,by then the hire car people had let the car to somebody in Malaga! As I was driving across Brenda got onto Roberto,at Carfisa in Marbella and he managed to re-arrange things and let us keep the hire car, thanks Roberto! After settling Joan down and checking on the dogs and cats I set off back to Manilva; the Smart car is back in its spot and we will exchange it next week on Tuesday when I have an appointment with our doctor to get the results of the scan on the prostrate. On the way over to Casa Olimpia with the gang,at lunchtime, we stopped off at the English butchers for some Sausages and Smoked Bacon for the weekend Brunch! Jack and Lyn have the best room in the villa overlooking the Strait and Africa and have made friends with Joan and the dogs !! A late sandwich lunch on the balcony was followed in the evening.after we had shot down to the supermarket in Tarifa, with a supper of Pan Fried Escalope of Pork in a citrus sauce, assorted vegetables and wok-fried crushed Potatoes. Everybody is “ Muy Contento ” and we are looking forward to our stay here with Jack and Lyn.
