LE TOUQUET

Mon. 2nd. Oct.
Left Le Touquet for Honfleur ( 145 miles) Stopped at St.Valery Sur Somme to look at
the Aires site but couldn't get through to the site. Would have stayed it looked so nice
a lovely harbour and nice town.Decided to carry on to Honfleur instead of stopping at
Le Treport, our friends thought we would have the same trouble.Had a mishap just on
the road to Dieppe, we were in a single line traffic (road works) and a lorry whizzed by
and took the wing mirror off on the passenger side, scratched the paint a little on the side.
Came over two spectacular bridges at Le Havre and across the Seine. Arrived at Honfleur
about 7 p.m. and as we were hooking up someone came across to show us a free line (English)
couple Mike and Annie Van Kleep he supplied us with online c.d./re. Aires services, very kind
and helpful , another couple came over , turned out to be Margaret and Peter from Scotland
(we met them at the site in Le Touquet)they have a caravan park in Midlothian.
