HONFLEUR

Fri. 13th. Oct.
A nice sunny day, after a really cold night,so we serviced the Winnebago and
set off on the scooter along the coast road to Trouville and Deauville, the view
was quite spectacular as we came down the hill into Trouville, the town nestling
into the hillside and a wonderful view of the coast.Didn't realise the bridge
separated the two, went along the front at Deauville, very upmarket properties
streching for miles facing the coast, some of them four stories high, lots were
closed for the winter. In the centre was a market square (I bought a white shawl)
and bits and pieces, then walked around the harbour which was beautiful, we spotted
some motor homes parked alongside the edge of the harbour and spoke to an
English couple (Colin and Tina Rice) who had been on a Wine Appreciation Tour and are members of the Motor Caravanners Club who kindly gave us some advice and info.
We had some lunch on a terrace outside overlooking the square, then went over to
Trouville, lots of hustle and bustle going on, another nice harbour with a boardwalk
overlooked by a huge Casino,(not as grand as the one in Deauville) took more video's.
