HONFLEUR

Thurs.12th Oct.

We set off to Pont-l'Eveque again today but on the way the scooter
spluttered a few times and then came to a halt in the middle of nowhere,
quite a harrowing time as it refused to start for a while, this delayed us
so when we finally arrived there the museum we were visiting was closed
from 12.30-2.00p.m, so we went into the centre of town which was well worth
a visit and settled into a rest. for a spot of lunch. We then went onto the Chateau -
de Betteville, a museum of Prestige Historic Cars, Motorcycles,Carriages and Prams
from 1900-1950 , a collection of over 100, plus an exhibition of 5000 models
of minature cars from all over Europe and America, quite unique and spectacular.
In the Chateau was a collection of approx. 80 figures in traditional costumes
from all over the world, not allowed to use a camera but Malcolm managed to
get a fantastic video!!! Hope to show it one day.!!
