A VERY, VERY HOT SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 21^st / AUGUST 2016.

Just a little lie in this morning after another very hot & sleepless night for all of us, ‘ Reina’ is OK and keeping as cool as possible moving around to different spots in front of the fans, just like us! She’s being collected later this evening, if Lee & Daniela make it back in time, she’s then back with us for her normal five days next week.

Brenda is still rather under the weather as her foot is giving her some jip, she slept on the main sofa made up to a bed, yesterday afternoon our friend Rose ( ‘Scruffy’s mum! ) dropped off her wheel chair ( many thank’s ) that she had from when she was very ill a few years ago, its makes all the difference for the ‘ Toilet/Bathroom ‘ runs, now we have to find a pair of ‘Crutches’ so that she can get about a bit more ( ASAP! ) as we need then for Tuesday morning so that she can get into the surgery for her appointment with our Doctor. Watch this space.

RESULT; After leaving a message on ' Facebook' our neighbour Araceli, a few minutes later, called in with a pair!!  " Muy bien, Gracias  " 

It’s going to be another very hot & sunny day here in sunny Manilva, the forecast is that it’s getting hotter and next week is going to be even more hot, all the records for this time of the year, in over a hundred years, are being broken watch this space.

At lunchtime Mano called in, he’s looking for some crutches for Tuesday, he also took me down with the wheelchair to the local garage in Sabinillas to put some air in the tyres, on the way back we called into the car park and checked out the oil & water in the car (needed!) – we then had a cool drink back at the house and a good catch up with all the news and gossip.

One things that has also been effected is our planned menus for the weekend, the ‘Entrecote Steak’ has gone in the deep freeze and this evenings ‘ Smoked Chicken Risotto ‘ has been put on hold, it’s the first time that the heat has got to us this much, we are just ‘ Snacking ‘ as and when we wan’t something, we are both feeling a little bit ‘off’ colour at the moment and are struggling to get on top of it, which is understandable in the circumstances! Watch this space.

Just a quick update on the football results; Liverpool lost 2-0 to newly promoted Burnley as their defence played terrible, Everton had a good win, 1-2 away at West Brom & Manchester City won 1-4 and played like future champions! Over here Barcelona won 6-2 with another Suarez hat trick, his fourth in 6 games! Real Madrid play later this afternoon.
