A VERY SUNNY MANILVA WITH A SEA BREEZE ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 24th / AUGUST 2016.

I was up early this morning as ‘ Reina’ was due back with us for the day, we then freshened ourselves up, Brenda had her first shower in a few days, the handrail on the bath/shower wall makes all the difference, it was then time for our regular breakfast, ‘ Chispa’ came calling for the first time today, we hear her coming up the street , we have christened her ‘Tinkerbell’! I then shot along to the Chemists in ‘Calle Mar’ for Brenda’s new support stockings and some more of my tablets.

It’s still very warm & sultry but not as hot as the rest of Spain as we have a ‘ Levante Sea Breeze’ coming along the coast from the Mediterranean making it a little cooler, overnight it’s still hovering on the 30degs mark and the days are reaching a little higher, the weekend is also looking good with more of the same, next week is going to be another hot one before the ‘ Vendimia Festival’ on the first weekend in September, watch this space.

This morning I brought in the washing off the lines up on the roof patio and put more out, it’s very good drying weather, we are trying to catch up with the chores around the house after Brenda’s latest set back, on the menu front we are still keeping it very simple, no plans and just snacking when we feel like it! Brenda is still sleeping downstairs on the sofa and during the day keeping her feet up as much as possible, she’s using just one crutch for now, she’s has no bandages on her foot and will try later to put on the new toeless/knee high support stockings which do make a big difference and help with the blood circulation at the same time. Watch this space. RESULT – they are on and with not too much difficulty!!

Over the last couple of evenings we have started to follow two new series on BBC 1 & 2 as well as some new Quiz shows; ‘Ripper Street’ is a thriller set in the Victorian era, we need to see the previous two seasons as the story line follow on, then last night it was a new drama miniseries set in a isolated rural community in Scotland ‘ One Of Us ‘ – ‘it’s  very gripping with a excellent surprise start, the cast of Juliet Stevenson John Lynch, Julie Graham & Adrian Edmondson all add to the programme quality.

‘ Happy Hour ‘ cocktails are still on the agenda!!

PS; What's happened to the ' Moffatt's over in Old Colwyn ?!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
