WEDNESDAY 8th / JUNE 2016.
We were both up early this morning and
after ‘ Reina’ was dropped off for the day, this afternoon ‘ Scruffy’ is back
with us for the rest of the day,we grabbed a quick cup of tea and a piece of
toast before heading off to Marbella along the coast road to go to ‘ La Cañada ‘
the large shopping mall behind the town; Brenda hit ‘ C & A’ and soon found
two bright coloured tee shirts, a white shirt top and two pairs of trousers,
white & yellow, meanwhile I spotted a very nice purple checked short
sleeved shirt, we then went along to ‘ M & S ‘ where I was helped by the
Manager and found a very nice pair of light grey ‘ Chinos’ and a rather good
short sleeved white & blur spotted shirt!
It was then time to head off back along the
coast road past a sparkling ‘Mediterranean’ towards sunny Manilva, only one
problem, behind Estepona, where the two main roads join, there had just been an
accident with a large lorry jack-knifing into the central crash barrier blocking
all the road! We were caught in a very large tail-back for over 1 and a half
hours!!
Today its even hotter but its very close
with a sea mist, inland the temperatures are reaching 39/40 degs, down here on
the coast its just 30 degs, over the next few days and into the weekend its
going to warmer and next week’s forecast is looking good with more of the same.

For this evening supper we are keeping
things simple “ Cold York Ham ‘ with ‘ Campo’ fried Eggs and some twice-cooked ‘
Frits’- tomorrow night we have some nice ‘Minutes Steak’- Fish on Friday &
Steak on Saturday, Sunday its TBC.
I now have ready my next three playlists
for my Radio show on ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ up to the
end of June, listen between 11-00 am to 1-00 pm every Saturday to ‘ Sir Malcolm’s
Classic Session’ – keep the requests coming in!
Tomorrow afternoon Brenda has another appointment
at the ‘ Physiotherapist ‘ for a good
massage session on her feet and legs, then in the early evening Mario Jnr. is
back with us for his last ‘English’ conversation class as the Exam is on Friday
over in Malaga, over last weekend his Teen Basket Ball Team won the Regional
Championship, the Senior Team are also Champions and this year the small Junior
Team are also the Champions for the first time!!! Manilva rules the local ‘Basket
Ball World’ – Mario’s dad, Mario our local Councillor, happens to be the
President of the ‘Manilva Basket Ball League’ this year.
We are having a ‘Quiz’ afternoon/ evening
and then after supper we will find something to watch.
