SUNNY WARM AND BREEZY MANILVA AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 4th/ NOVEMBER 2013.

After breakfast this morning I made with Brenda’s help a fresh batch of ‘Ensaladilla Rusa’ – we have also planned the menu’s for this week, Cold Turkey this evening with a fry-up of the left over vegetables and potatoes, tomorrow night its going to be a Chicken & Turkey Curry and then on Wednesday ‘Chicken Schnitzels’ with Tomato Salsa, Thursday’s ‘Dish of the Day’ will be Baked Pork Chops with Breton Potatoes and for Friday will pick up a fresh Fish tbc! Saturday night it will be our usual ‘Steak a la Plancha’

Today is warm and sunny with a stiff ‘Levante’ breeze from Africa; we will check the weather forecast for the rest of the week this evening. This week we have no trips out planned, at the moment, so we are having a nice relaxing time at home in sunny Manilva!

This morning Andy called in to check out both PCs and update the files were necessary and also download more files to the Hard drive and delete others that are not in use to increase the memory; he also checked out the printer, installed a new ink and was able to print out his boarding pass as he is going back to England for a week to see his mother at the weekend. Every time he comes I pick up something new from him to help me use the PC’S more efficiently. He also helped me arrange an appointment to take the car over to the test station in Estepona for its ‘ITV –MOT’ – next Monday morning – finger’s crossed !

We had a very enjoyable supper last night with Mano and Anna, they were on good form and we all ate all our  Pre-Xmas Dinner including every bodies favorite, my surprise ‘Yorkshire Pudding’s’ filled with gravy as you can see in the pictures below!

Later after catching all the sports updates I found on TVE1 the start of a new programme from the USA; it was a miniseries of “ Spartacus ”from 2004 with Goran Visnjic?! in the title role with Allan Bates, Ben Cross, Angus MacFadyan,Rhona Mitra and Ross Kemp in a Roman soldiers costume trying to look menacing, thankfully he was killed early on ! The episodes were run back to back so it was on for over three hours – I did not stay up to watch the end as I’ve seen the film with Kirk Douglas !!

Thought for the Day; See above.
