SUNNY AND A STILL HOT MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY

WEDNESDAY 11th/ SEPTEMBER 2013.

We have another promising day again today as we sort ourselves out for tomorrow’s day out at the hospital and over in Estepona; on the horizon for the weekend is some of the wet stuff ‘RAIN’ on Saturday – definitely!

This year our ‘summer’ has been the coldest on record for over a hundred years! I kid you not! We had noticed the difference as it never reached being unbearable and at night it was definitely not as warm as before, we could not go out in the evening until late and during the day it was so hot that you couldn’t put your nose outside and everybody stayed in with the shutters up, over the past few years! We are not complaining though!!

At lunchtime we walked down to Bodega Augustin for a cool drink and bumped into Anna who was having her morning coffee so we had a good chat and a gossip, they are nearly there in the new park, this morning they have painted the 'Waterfall' wall and have just finished the wall around the 'Roman Ovens' as you can see in the pictures above.

So this afternoon I will be watching the ‘Vuelta 2013’Stage 17 ( See the details on yesterday’s blog ) as they travel into Burgos. The Dutch rider Baulke Malloma won the stage and no change in the overall standings.

Later of course we will be up on the roof terrace taking advantage of the fine weather for as long as possible! Over in Dubai David and Jane are taking in the sights with the temperatures reaching over 100degs! See the picture above!!

Tonight for supper we having ‘Chicken Schnitzels’ – the fresh breadcrumbs come from our local bakery and the Chicken breast is off a local bird from our butchers which he slices for you, with them we are having chopped Green Beans and crisp square Chips and on the side my famous all purpose Tomato Salsa! Lots of Lemon wedges also!

We will then channel hop after the news on TVE1( Spain’s BBC1) to find something to watch.

Thought for the Day; See above.
