A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 2nd/ APRIL 2019.

We were both up early this morning and after freshening up quickly we shot off down to Sabinillas where I dropped Brenda off at the main ‘ Medical Centre’ for her appointment for blood tests etc, she caught the local bus back up to the village, I carried on across to the ‘ Estepona Hospital’ for my second appointment of the week at the very busy ‘ Physiotherapy Department’ for more treatment on my left hand, after having my usual tostado & tea in ‘ Tikitapi’ - as I found a parking spot at the top of the hill above the Hospital.

As we set off the sun was blinding above a sparkling Mediterranean, the clouds were clearing and the blue sky was appearing, there is just a slight breeze so by lunchtime it’s due to reach 20 degs+ - tomorrow it’s going to get warmer, up to 23 degs! Sadly as the breeze stiffens and a new ‘ Atlantic’ front come in, it’s changing, from Thursday onwards and over the weekend we are in for more of the ‘ wet-stuff’ – going colder also, back down to mid ‘ teens’ – next week is starting the same but the sun will then return, with patchy clouds, hovering in the high ‘ teens’ by the following weekend. Watch this space.

This evening ‘ Scruffy’ is back with us for a sleep-over in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ and then again on Thursday evening, as usual ‘Chispa’ will no doubt call in to see him and us.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Escalope’s of Chicken Breast ‘ coated in breadcrumbs from the local Bakery – ‘ Chicken Schnitzels ‘ – shallow fried until crisp & golden, in Vegetable Oil, then garnished ‘ Holstein’ style, topped with a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg,  Anchovy Fillets & Capers! Served with lots of Lemon Wedges, accompanied with finely sliced ‘ French’ Green Beans and twice-cooked ‘ Frits’

At lunchtime we are popping out, down to the new ‘Vente La Vista’ – by the side of the road down to Sabinillas, which has opened today, for a nice cool drink, sat outside on the terrace, overlooking the valley and down to the Mediterranean, to check it out, watch this space.

We had a nice drink ( Locals Price!) and met the new owners, who are French, we were their first customers, and Emile, looked after us, the 3 course 'Menu Del Dia ' is 9.50 euros and the ' A la Carte' is very reasonable, we shall return for the ' Tapas' and then dinner in the restaurant, with the most spectacular views in Manilva!

This afternoon we will be catching up with all the ‘ Quiz Shows’ that we follow and then later after supper we will channel hop to find something to watch, all the new series are starting over the next couple of weeks, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
