A WARM & DRY SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 22nd/ APRIL 2019.   “ EASTER MONDAY “

We managed another nice lie in this morning, the village is back to normal as here in Spain as it’s not a ‘Bank Holiday’ – the children have gone back to work and all the business’s are open, the ‘Town Hall’ is also back working.

I was on the breakfast rota so I had a ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty’ – open on brown for Brenda – smothered in ‘HP’ Brown sauce, with mugs of tea, to set us up for the week ahead.

I checked our reservation for tomorrow at the ‘ Atanazanas Boutique Hotel’ in Malaga, where we are meeting Jane & David. I then shot down to the garage in Sabinillas to top up the car with petrol, check the oil & water, as well as the tyres.

At lunchtime I’m going across to the ‘ Estepona Hospital ‘ for my review/check up with the ‘Consultant Physiotherapist’ Watch this space.

PS; I'm back for another 4/5 weeks of treatment on my left hand, starting next Monday morning!

Overnight we had a little rain, but this morning it’s dry & sunny, with a few patchy clouds, by lunchtime it’s going to reach 21 degs+ - sadly it’s still looking wet & windy over in Malaga for the next few days, by the coming weekend the sun is due to return, with a light breeze, the sky is clearing and hovering in the low 20s, watch this space.

This week here in sunny Manilva it’s a ‘Cultural Week ‘ – organised by the Council, with all sorts of events taking place, we are going out on Friday evening, around to the ‘Casa de los Torres ‘ Cultural Centre, in the next street, to watch the ‘Jazz-Fusion¡ concert by the ‘ Trombone 4 Quintet’ – led by Alejandro Antiñolo, the son of Fernando, the Head of the School of Music.

This evening we are having the rest of the ‘ Smoked Chicken & Three Green Bean Risotto’  for our supper, the menus for the rest of the week are still TBC!

Just a quick update on the football results; Everton beat Manchester Utd 4-0 and made the two Brian’s very happy ‘ Blues’!  Liverpool won 0-2 and went back to the top of the ‘Premiere League’ – Barcelona won 2-1 & Real Madrid 3-0.

Yesterday evening we settled down to watch the very gripping & exciting ‘Line of Duty’- just to say the ending of the episode was a huge surprise and very shocking! Watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
