YET ANOTHER HOT & SUNNY DAY IN MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 21st/JULY 2015.

I was up early this morning as little princess 'Reina' was due back with us,there is no sign of the site workmen,again, so we think that perhaps they are on holiday for two weeks?! Fingers crossed! Not that it makes that much difference as at the moment the council workers are erecting the poles to hang the bunting & canopy along 'Calle Mar'- which is closed during the day - ready for the various 'Festivals' over the next couple of months ending in the 'Vendimia Festival' in the start of September!

Its another 'hot one' in sunny Manilva today with more to come for the rest of the week and over the weekend; in Northern Spain they are having severe surprise thunderstorms due to the climatic changes for the time of the year.

After breakfast we found something for tonight's supper " Homemade Burgers" from our local butcher, he makes Chicken, Pork & Beef, we think that we have the Pork ones! Brenda is having a Cheese Burger and I'm having my famous 'stack' with all the usual plus a Smoked Bacon & 'Campo' Fried Egg topping! A little Mixed Salad on the side and just a few 'French Fries' of course! Not forgetting the 'Heinz Tomato Ketchup'!! See below;

                                                  Mine on the left & Brenda's on the right!

'Chispa' is here at the moment following Brenda around as 'Reina' does not want to play, she stays very calm and relaxed during the day and just sleeps on her duvet in front of the fan! She's no a 'fan' of the heat!

Over in the " Tour de France" its a well deserved rest day in the town of Gap; the 'Tour' finishes on Sunday in Paris after 21 stages over 3360 kms; on Wednesday they hit the Alps for four days with 11 major 'Cols' to climb ending on Saturday with the feared Alpe D'Huez!

Yesterday Geraint Thomas had a nasty crash on the final very dangerous and fast decent when another rider forced him out on on a sharp bend and he went over the side into the trees hitting his head on a telegraph pole on the way! He's Chris Fromme's 'wheel man' and leads and covers him on all the climbs and stages - he got back on his bike and finished the stage.

Later we will have our 'Happy Hour' and then after supper channel hop to find something to watch.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
