A VERY,VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 22nd/JULY 2015.

We were wrong about the site workmen being on holiday as they arrived this morning at 7-30 am and commenced to make the loudest noise so far as the knocked down the shuttering and scaffolding on the top floor!

I was up early to welcome back 'Reina' for the day,she's now settled on her duvet in the office in front of the fan for the rest of the day; we treated ourselves to 'Smoked Bacon Butties' for our breakfast before grabbing a quick shower.

.Chispa' called in and stayed around for a short while before going back home, she stays inside for the day and keeps out of the sun until later in the evening when she comes out to play again, like the children!

Its another hot one today as its hovering on the 36.37 degs mark with more of the same to come for the rest of the week,then next week and so on! We will survive!!

As the workmen went on their morning break I grabbed the foreman Diego and got him to show me the water pipe in the site,its taken from the old building that was there and is on its own meter, he then came round to the house and opened the Mains water cover outside our house after I had showed him the readings and told him about our problem.

There is water in the Mains inlet under the on/off tap which should not be there! The local 'Water Board' is coming tomorrow morning to check out the Mains water supply and also the area around the house!! Watch this space.

They have just called and after checking they have confirmed that we have a leak in the house somewhere and that the Meter is running slowly all the time! This means that we have to get a specialist company in to check the all the piping in the house!! Watch this space.

This morning the Council held a meeting in the 'La Casa De Los Torres' around the corner from us to plan with the various Departments for the opening of it as a Exhibition,Museum.& Cultural Centre for the village; watch this space.

This afternoon Stage 17 of the " Tour de France" starts in the Alps from Digne-Les-Bains to Praloup over 161 kms with the high climb over the Col D'Alios and then up to the top of the 'Praloup'

For our supper this evening I making a traditional " Salteado" - a fry up of all the leftovers with some additions, Chorizo,Peppers,Onions,Courgettes,Ham, Potato,Peas etc - its then topped with Campo Fried Eggs that you crack into it to cook!

We will then settle down to watch the TV after the news.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
