SUNDAY 12th/ JULY 2015.
This morning we were awoken by the sound of the street cleaning machine ( Sunday?) so we turned over and had a long lie in after a very 'sticky' night as its now in the high 20 s during the night and the high 30 s during the day - normal for July!
For breakfast we treated ourselves to 'Smoked Bacon Butties' to set us up for the day ahead; no plans, just taking things as they come,after showering we sorted ourselves ready for the day and the week ahead; next week we have no plans,at the moment, on Tuesday & Thursday 'Reina' is back with us and on Friday we are our on our regular shopping expedition down in Sabinillas.
At lunchtime Mano & Anna called in with their grandson Fabio for a cool drink & gossip, we then went along to' Bar Castillo' for a Tapas lunch, it was very comfortable sat outside with a little cool breeze and in the shade as we took the sights and sound in of sunny Manilva; Brenda had a 'Picho De Gambas' with a Tomato salad and I had the house 'Croquettes' We then then both had the Paella to follow.
This afternoon it's 'Siesta' time as its now so hot we have closed all the shutters 'Spanish' style; all the fans are on full blast 'mode' and we are dressed down to our essentials!
Sports News Update; Serena Williams won the Ladies Tennis Final, England won the first ' Ashes Test Match' & Chris Froome retained the race leaders 'Yellow' jersey before today's Stage 9 of the 'Tour de France' which is the Team Time Trail' over 28 kms from Vallis to Plumetec, Marc Marquez has just won the German Motor GP.
This evening we are having grilled 'Escalopes of Chicken Breast' with a Mixed salad.before settling down to watch the TV.
