SUNNY AND HOT MANILVA AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 22^nd/ JULY 2013.

We were up bright and breezy this morning and after breakfast the ‘Beach Girl’ caught the early bus down to Sabinillas so as to beat the crowds and before it gets too hot; meanwhile I’ am back in the office catching up on the WWW after all the excitement of the weekends sports.

I will have ‘Withdrawal symptoms’ later with no ‘Tour’ to follow, the next big cycle race to follow is the ‘Vuelta D’Espana’ at the end of August; one stage this year is coming into Estepona.

This week in the village, on Friday it’s the ‘Santa Ana’ saints day – at this time of the year all the program of events take place down in Sabinillas for the tourists, then in August the ‘Feria de Agosto’ is held on the ‘Rastro’ ground in the bottom of the valley below the village; it is then time on the weekend of the1st September for the ‘Vendimia; festival held here in the village and hopefully on the new ‘Plaza Vendimia’ if its ready in time!

This afternoon I think the ‘Painter’ will be up on the roof terrace later after the sun has moved around to commence the job - watch this space! The ‘Cocktail Hour’ will have to be moved back; we will move down a floor and go in the ‘Chill Out’ room.She has been at it later this afternoon and has broken the back of the job,tomorrow, hopefully if there are no after-effects from today's exertion, her very able assistant will be helping by ' Footing' the small step-ladders !! She is at the moment having a cold shower and a quick rub-down by her very own 'Masseur' !!

Tonight for supper we are having the rest of the Fillet of Pork which I have cut into small slices and I ‘am going to breadcrumb them and cook in foaming Lemon Butter, the classic 'Escalope of Pork Viennoise' garnished with chopped Parsley,boiled Egg yolks and white,Capers,Olives and Gherkins !! With the nights selection of the ‘Vegetable Chefs’ she has chosen - TBC after she returns from the beach! - Fine Green Beans and a crisp mixed salad, for this time of the year are on the menu. Tomorrow night it's another first - " Rizotto with Chicken and Broad Beans " !! 

Over the weekend we have watched at different times a selection of films but nothing to right up on the blog.I have posted the picture from Paris above, it sounds like they are going to keep to the new route and time as it was so successful and spectacular, the projected light show onto the ‘Arc De Triomphe’ at the end was unbelievable as you can see.
