“ BRENDA’S BIRTHDAY ! ”
After a
little lie in we have had our breakfast and are now shaving ( Me!) showering
and getting ourselves ready for the day ahead; I’ am shooting out early to get
some pictures of the ‘Corpus Christi’ celebrations in the village later this
morning. I’ve also got a couple of pictures to post later of last nights
‘Flamenco’ show.
The
‘Canapés’ are ready and the ‘Cava’ s on ice for when Gillian and Josie join us
at one o’clock – the ‘Red Limousine’ will be picking us up and taking us to
‘Venta Garcia’for the birthday girls ‘Bash!’ All the pictures will be posted
later !

birthday card of Brenda taking the bull by the horns was sent via Facebook from
the ‘Queen of Skelton’s’ household !
Well as you can see in the pictures above we have a had a 'Helluva' nice day and lunch to celebrate Brenda's birthday( New Outfit!) - it started at the house when Gillian and Josie arrived bearing all sorts of gifts and goodies! After our Cava & Canape reception we shot up to 'Venta Garcia' - we sat outside in the very hot sunshine and enjoyed our cool drinks; To start Brenda had a Avocado and Goats Cheese salad,Gillian had the 'House salad, Josie had an Feta & Fig salad and I had my usual Chicken Croquettes and Frits!
For our main course Brenda had a Grilled Fillet of Turbot,Gillian had the Shoulder of Roast Lamb,Josie tried the Rabbit Pie?! and my main course was a Grilled Fillet Steak,rare with more Frits! The wine was our current favourite " Albarino Rias Baixas 'Sin Palabras' " with some glasses of the very good 'House Rioja' We are now back at the house relaxing!!
Brenda has received E-Mails from Germany,Facebook messages from all the family in Australia, Kuala Lumpur,Finland and from back in England,good old fashioned cards from her sister's and old friends in North Wales - many thanks to all - lots of love Brenda xx
