A VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA AND ESTEPONA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 26th/ AUGUST 2015.

We were up early this morning and grabbed a quick shower before breakfast; we then got ourselves smartened up and ready to go out, I went and brought the car back up to the house to check the oil & water before we set off on our travels. The only problem was the heat & humidity, it was already very hot and so by the time I had finished I was like a wet rag and had to change my shirt!

We collected Lillemor & Josie and set off along the coast road past a sparkling Mediterranean, we dropped them off outside our bank and arranged to meet them later in the ‘Orange Square’ – we did our necessary business (transfers between A/Cs) and then parked the car in the underground car park; after a fresh Orange Juice we did a little retail shopping, Brenda found a nice pair of sandals but everything we tried on didn’t fit us?!

It was then time to go along to ‘Cocomo’ where they had fitted us in, early, with a nice corner table in the shade; Brenda & Lillemor had the Salmon Fishcakes with Salad, Josie had the Mussels & Frits and I had the Chefs ‘Steak Pie’ – the wine flowed and the company was excellent – on the way back we called into the new ‘Boulevard’ in San Pedro to give Lillemor the quick ‘Tour’ – earlier Josie had shown her the new ‘Orchid House’ in Estepona. See the pictures below;

                                              And Josie's pictures taken with her mobile phone!

As the day went on it became very hot over in Estepona and when we came back to the village at 4-00 pm the village was dead and in shut down! We retired gracefully for a little siesta, well earned!!

This afternoon its Stage 5 of the ‘Vuelta d’Espana 15’ from the naval base of ‘Rota’ near Cadiz going up north towards ‘Alcala De Guadaira’ over 167 kms – a sprint finish is forecast.

This evening we are taking things easy and are going up later for a light ‘Tapas’ supper at Bar Rojas as it’s the chefs & staff night off!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
