We have just met our local councilor, Mario, who lives around the corner from us and has just returned from his campo in the valley to hear some terrible news; the 2000 year old Roman Kiln is going to be bulldozed to the ground !! The ‘ Junta de Andalucia ’ has no money in its budget to incorporate it in the new Plaza plans !! The Malaga Archaeology Department will be very upset, understandable, they have spent a great deal of time on restoring it. It seems pretty final and there is no way to appeal the decision. Definitely a bad decision, such a pity as it would have added to Plaza and to the history of the village for visitors and locals to see.
