MANILVA START OF THE WEEKEND.

FRIDAY/SATURDAY 3rd/4th JUNE 2011.

As usual on a Friday morning we shot down to Sabinillas to the supermarket for the weekend shopping; we then walked around to the local market with Cheta for some fresh fruit and vegetables as well as flowers. Tim had texted me to let us know when Jo was in the house as we had arranged to call her, to speak to her before she sets off to Ibiza for 3 months; she has finished her first year at university and is flying out on Sunday, it is her birthday next Tuesday so we wanted to catch her before she left! We can’t believe she is twenty and as she said no longer a teenager! Have a “ Helluva ” birthday and time in Ibiza Jo – lots of love.
In the evening we had Pan Fried Sole and prawns in a Lemon Butter sauce for supper with new Potatoes and Garden Peas and the local Asparagus.

The weather over the weekend is getting hotter and the sun is out as we get up on Saturday; after breakfast of Campo Poached Eggs on toast we went for a long walk with Cheta and ended up down at the football ground, a match on the full size pitch was just about to kick off so I was able to get the pictures that you can see below.Manilva in the red shirts were playing Balompedica Linense in a end of season friendly so they lined up and took the team pictures before the kick off; the score just before half time was 1-1 so I will find out the result ASAP ! Just after lunch Brian came on line on the Skype video so we had a long chat, he was chilling out with Penna,Lilli’s dad and so he showed us around his music studio in the garden; Lilli was out for the day with the girls so Brian and Penna were going out in the evening to a Hells Angel’s Bikers Congress,Penna is a multitalented musician and plays in bands. Watch out Pori !!
For supper we had Entrecote Steak and Chips with all the trimmings before we settled down to watch a Rambo film on the TV

PS; The match was a special game arranged by the Sports council for Veterans,.Manilva won 3-1 !

Thought for the Day;

If you want a thing doing well, Do it yourself.
