AT THE MOMENT A DRY AND NOW SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

TUESDAY 21st/APRIL 2020.   “ STATE OF ALARM – DAY 38 “

After freshening up we had our regular fresh fruit (sliced Banana) toast and tea before getting another day on the go in ‘ LOCKDOWN’

I then retired upstairs to the office/studio to check out the ‘E-Mails, Facebook’ messages etc, then catching up with the news on ‘BBC’ online news page, reading the ‘ Daily Mail’ online, the ‘El Pais’ – the main Spanish newspaper, translated into English, ‘ Algeciras TV ‘ for the World news,  the ‘ Councils’ news page/update, as well as three local weather forecasts, then our ‘ Facebook’ page, for all the local gossip etc, all before typing/posting today’s Blog, which each day I make a ‘ crib-sheet/list’ to work from.

PS; All the time listening to the three local Radio Stations broadcasting the ‘ Lockdown Show’s from 8-00 am to noon, which this morning I got the ‘ Mystery Person’ strait away, it was ‘ Paloma Faith ‘ – the singer!

PPS; Now the excellent ‘ Country Classics ‘ with David Sibbald ‘ on ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW '

Yesterday afternoon stayed dry & sunny before in the evening when we  had a severe/short rain storm, overnight more storms as well as this morning, at the moment it’s cloudy and overcast with the threat of more of the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ to come back later, only reaching 18 degs+ - overnight down to 13 degs+ - with a light breeze, over the next two days the sunshine is due to return, then on Friday and over the weekend it’s back to light to moderate showers, all the time hovering in the high ‘ teens’ – next week is now looking a lot more settled and dry, as the breeze drops, with sunshine on most days, a few patchy clouds at times, hovering in the low 20s, up to 23 degs+ by next Wednesday, watch this space.

“ CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – COVID 19 PANDEMIC “

Our dear friend Leah is calling at the house at noon to collect our shopping list (long) for ‘Mercadona/Super Sol’ as she is braving the weather, as she need her shopping as well,’ Thanks’!

She has just called and made our day, as she has dropped off little ‘ Miss Bella’ with us, while she goes down to Sabinillas for all the shopping, she is running around like a ‘mad-girl’ - full of joy & love, as usual, of course she is being made a great fuss off!

PS; Tomorrow Leah is going to attempt to go to the 'Iceland/Overseas ' supermarket over in 'Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro' - past Sotogrande, for some ' English' essentials that we both need ! Watch this space.

Each day/evening we are following on our ‘Facebook’ page all the Music/ Signing videos being posted from around the World, with some excellent collaborations of famous singers, as well as amateurs, on our ‘ Timeline’ page you can see a new ‘ Zoom’ Video of a Spanish group ‘ Celtas Cortos ‘ – with friends – signing “ No Nos Podran Parar – They Can’t Stop Us “  - also we love the ‘ Dirty Dancing’ videos – which bring back memories of my/our ‘ Dancing Days’ back in the past!

Meanwhile all the ‘ Council’ work force are all the time, here in the village and all over the Manilva area still washing down, sanitizing & humidifying all the streets and houses, weather permitting.

When I next venture down to the ‘ Suma’ supermarket, carrying the shopping bags and of course ‘Masked/Gloved’ up, in front of the ‘Police/Fire’ stations, I’m going to call into the underground car park to ‘ turn-over’ the car, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘Pan-Seared Lambs Liver ‘ – dusted in seasoned flour and ‘ flash-cooked’ on a very hot griddle-plate, with seared ‘English’ Pork Sausages and crispy ‘ Spanish’ Smoked Bacon, garnished with seared Button Mushrooms, accompanied with finely  sliced ‘ French’ Green Beans and the rest of the ‘Boulangere’ potatoes.

As usual, every day we are watching the TV, following al the ‘ Quiz Shows’ – channel hopping all the time to find programmes to watch, as well as catching the series that we follow, such as ' Our Girl' this evening, see below.

“ STAY SAFE & WELL INSIDE AT ALL THE TIME “

Thought for the Day; See above.
