THURSDAY 16th/ APRIL 2020. “ STATE OF ALARM DAY 33 “
After freshening up as I was on the
breakfast rota, again, I had my favourite ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty’ –
smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce – open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of hot/strong
tea, to start our day in the right direction.
Speaking of which, it’s started cloudy,
grey & overcast, with a light breeze, the threat of the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ is
hanging in the air, by lunchtime, when it’s still due to reach 18 degs+
overnight down to 14 degs, yesterday it stayed dry and by the late afternoon it
was warm & sunny, tomorrow is going to be dry, with patchy clouds, then
over the weekend the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ is due to return, still hovering in the high ‘
teens’ – by Sunday reaching 21 degs+- the rain will be warm! Next week is now
looking mixed & unsettled, with rain on some days, then sunshine with
patchy clouds, all the time staying in the high ‘ teens’ – the following week
is forecast to be, at the moment similar, watch this space.
“ CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – COVID 19 PANDEMIC “
Yesterday, late in the afternoon, as it
stayed dry and then warm & sunny, I ‘Masked/Gloved’ up and shot down to the
‘ Suma’ supermarket, in front of the Police/Fire Stations and stocked up with
the essentials, it’s well stocked, all the time, and not busy!
This morning Brenda has just ‘
Masked/Gloved’ up and popped down to our local shop for the fresh fruit &
vegetables etc, tomorrow she is going along to the Chemist’s (weather
permitting) in ‘Calle Mar’ for some of our prescription tablets.
We are still of course at 8-00 pm each
evening, going out on our front door step and as well as clapping, I’m blowing
my whistle, all our neighbours wave back (?!) - meanwhile up in ‘Calle Mar’- at
the top of our street, our friend ‘Lumy’ is blasting out, from their apartment
above ‘ Bar Rojas’ the Spanish song “ Resitire
– Resist “ !!

touch, again, this week, to check on us

This evening for our supper we are having
the rest of the ‘ Chicken & Mushroom Curry ‘ with Basmati Rice and triple-cooked
‘ Chips’! On Friday it will be a ‘ Fish Supper’ and then on Saturday our ‘
Steak Night’ – finally on Sunday it’s going to be ‘ Grilled Marinated Spanish
Lamb Cutlets’ resting on a bed of my famous ‘ Boulangere’ Potatoes.
